A Better Bar Service has been the official bar service at our dealership for the past 3 years. They worked with us when it was Alefs Harley-Davidson and now that its Twister City Harley-Davidson. Ryan and his staff are great to work with, professional, friendly, and our customers love em'. We're a very event heavy dealership and whatever the event may be they always come through. Ryan always checks in on us before and after the event to make sure everything went well and if we need anything from them. It's great having a vendor that knows what they are doing and I don't have to worry about them during an event. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing a bar service.

My husband and I had an awful experience at our wedding with A Better Bar Service. So let's start from the beginning.
I had a printed and framed bar menu for our guests to see. I sent this menu to Ryan over e-mail not once, but TWICE. We seemed to be on the same page. I had 4 beer selections, 5 wines, champagne, and 2 signature liquor drinks on that menu. When cocktail hour started, we soon realized that our guests were drinking Crown, Scotch, Jameson, etc... which were not on the menu. What in the world?! My father, who was paying the tab became furious when he realized this was going on. When he approached one of the girls that was working the bar (yes he was livid, and no he was not very nice), the girl blamed ME for the miscommunication and said that I signed a contract stating they would serve a host bar. YES, I DID sign a contract for HOST bar. What I DID NOT do is sign a contract for FULL bar. Host bar and full bar are two completely different subjects. If I wanted the entire bar served, why would I make a specific menu? So I then confronted the same girl myself and I THOUGHT we had everything squared away. At that point she said they would only add what we had on the menu to our bill, and if our guests wanted anything else, they could pay cash. I did not want our guests to have to pay for anything whatsoever, but at that point, people were already drinking certain things so was I going to take that away? No, of course not. So I agreed. I hadn't even made it to my reception yet and was already in tears.
Then the second round of problems arose. My husband went to the bar and witnessed some of our guests being charged for things that were on our menu! Are you kidding me? When I have a printed and framed menu sitting right in front of them, how is there any kind of mistake as to what goes on our tab and what our guests pay cash for? Not to mention we JUST discussed this! As I was telling a couple of my guests about why I was upset, they replied "oh yeah we got charged for Coronas as well." I continued to become more and more infuriated. I could not even fully enjoy the ONE day I get married in life because the people working the bar couldn't get it together and I was concerned about the happiness of my guests more than anything.
After the event I contacted Ryan and some of the things he said to me were unprofessional. When I pointed out the fact that full bar and host bar have two completely different meanings, he proceeded to tell me that he "assumed I looked at their website and read what their host bar included." For one, I was never given information to a website, and two, you NEVER assume when doing business with others. So, of course, I went to look at this website. NOWHERE on that website does it state that their host bar services include a full liquor bar. Nor did it mention that anywhere in the contract. And yes, I still have it. I advised him that it would probably be a good idea to change the wording and include full bar in the contract for host bar if in fact that is what it involves. Still to this day, there is no mention on their website of full bar being served in host bar situations. Also while looking at the website, I noticed they charge 75 cents per guest for water, tea, and lemonade. I got charged $1 per guest. So clearly, this company does not have it together.
I want to finish by saying that I am extremely organized, and the rest of my vendors can vouch for that. We were engaged for 3.5 years, spent $40,000 on this day, had every detail mapped out, and received props from every other company we worked with on how awesome our organization was. I hope NOBODY else has to go through this kind of situation on their special day because I can never go back and change what happened on ours and unfortunately I will never forget it either.

They were above and beyond my expectations. I had a lot on my plate with the wedding, but told them what I wanted and they catered to my demands perfectly. I had 2 bar tenders and my guess had only compliments with how friendly and knowledgeable they were. I would hire again and recommend to my friends and family.

Debbie and Daryl Aldrich hired Ryan for their anniversary party and the service was outstanding. He remembered what everyone was drinking, he didn't just stay at the bar that was set up, Ryan went table to table as well checking that everyone had what ever it was that they were drinking on. There were a lot of people to tend to, roughly 100. Ryan went above and beyond. Very professional. 5 stars truly isn't enough. We would recommend A Better Bar Service and Ryan.
