A Better Chimney

Brandon and crew did an excellent job rebuilding the top of my chimney from the roofline up, and tuck-pointing below the roofline. The price was reasonable as well not the least expensive, nor the most, but closer to the least. Brandon's 20 years of experience is clear when talking to him about masonry. He's easy to work with, conscientious, and made sure that I was happy with everything before it was declared finished. The project was accepted in early July 2021 and finished in early December 2021. Weather too hot in summer; too rainy in fall played a part in the length of the project. Before and after pics below.

I dealt with Pedro… I cannot express what a delightful experience. He’s as honest as the day is long. Pleasant, professional, thorough & thoughtfully worked around my weird schedule. Brandon was wonderful to work with! He quickly came out to assess the work we needed and was very knowledgeable about fireplaces and chimney repair and maintenance. He converted our gas fireplace back to wood burning and also gave us helpful tips for getting our wood burning fires started. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for fireplace or chimney repair or maintenance.

We are very pleased with the chimney repair work completed by Brandon and Chad from A Better Chimney, LLC. From our initial meeting until the work was completed, Brandon clearly explained what needed to be done and what to expect for scheduling. We had obtained multiple bids some recommended doing a complete rebuild but Brandon recommended removing/replacing the existing mortar “tuck-pointing” and explained why a rebuild was unnecessary and why this lower cost repair would address all of our concerns about aging mortar. His bid was very reasonable and we felt confident in his expertise. Our newly repaired chimney looks great, and includes a new custom-built chimney cap. In addition to the high quality work and management of our project, Brandon and Chad took extra steps to minimize the spread of mortar dust to our neighbor’s property. This speaks highly of their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Fair and honest, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Brandon gave me a good chimney education and even explained some simple maintenance I could do myself. The charge for the visit was very reasonable. When the time comes that I do need cleaning or repairs, I will definitely call A Better Chimney!

Brandon is the man! He was super knowledgeable about my chimney, which was too tall and had some bad prior repairs concrete. He helped come up with a solution to keep me and my homeowners insurance happy! His technician Pedro was also very polite, was scheduled quickly, and kept the worksite clean. I had the worst time calling chimney companies for quotes. Of the 4 I called, one wanted $200 just to come out, two wrote inflated estimates after doing drive by quotes, and the 4th was Brandon, who was the only one who took the time to actually go up on the roof with my and explain options. I am so happy with the results - my chimney looks like new! Brandon even came back a few weeks later to check the caulk and flashing on the roof. I can’t recommend this company enough!

After getting several over priced and questionable bids, I got a referral to Brandon for my chimney sealing and mortaring job from a trustworthy source. I was pleased from start to finish. Work was done fast and neatly so. Brandon was easy to talk to and very flexible with scheduling, despite my needing to change dates a couple of times. I’m Impressed and very content, Will definitely be referring out.

Brandon came out to do a bid. His price seemed “middle of the road” so I chose his bid over others. His workers came over as scheduled and did exactly what they promised. I would definitely refer them and use them again. A Better Chimney is company that keeps their promises. Great experience!
