Story

Hi, I’m Luquana McGriff,

I’m a sugar artist, baker, and the owner of A Cake Baked In Brooklyn.
In January 2016, with no formal culinary training, I began combining my love of baking with my natural sense of style to make one of a kind desserts for my two kids, my family, and my friends. When I got nothing but rave reviews, I decided to build a business that would serve the community of Brooklyn where I was born and raised.

A Cake Baked In Brooklyn is an award-winning boutique dessert catering company that creates stylish, personalized, and delicious desserts for all of your events. Using the time-tested family-recipes I learned as a child and all natural ingredients, I make cakes, cupcakes, cookies and cake pops to order. Depending on the season or the theme of your event, I can create anything you and I can dream up together from Character Cakes to Dessert Tables!

With my previous professional experience in social work, I’ve always wanted to heal and comfort others. Now I feel Blessed to bring joy to others with my baking. I’m proud of the desserts we create, and I believe in the quality of our products. I would be happy to get a chance to share them with you.
