Had my favorite boots resoled and replaced rubber heels and added new rubber heels on two pairs of pumps - very pleased with the quality of the workmanship. Going to bring more shoes for repair. Excellent experience with Divine Shine.
Me. Stanley did a great job shortening the straps on my doc marten sandals. He took good care of them and informed me of what he would do throughout the entire process. Even when he had to do something he didn’t plan shortening the strap in a different area he called me and got my permission before proceeding. He handled my sandals with care and he is very courteous to his customers too. I get real home/DC vibes whenever I walk in; kind, respectful, and caring.
Amazing service and excellent customer service! I had a pair of white Gucci suede and leather shoes cleaned and repaired that honestly were close to ruined! The owner restore my shoes superbly ! I am very impressed by the attention to details, clean and precise work, and the removal of the stains on the suede. I honestly thought my shoes were not going to look this good and I must say the service I received was a 6 out of 5 stars! Thank you
I thought a pair of heels were beyond repair — the heel cap had broken off, and the soles were super worn. After taking them to a divine shine, they look brand new! Considering how much it would have cost to replace them altogether, a divine shine is well worth a trip for any repairs! I will be bringing additional shoes here they also repair handbags!.
Divine Shine is the best in DC! Owner Stanley Mayes has been in business for decades, maintaining long-standing customers and attracting new ones like me. His shop used to be across the street from my apartment, but I find lots of residents like myself make the trip to Shaw for the quality of work he does. Last weekend I brought in five pairs of shoes, including a pair of Louboutins I bought for my wedding. All five pairs were ready within a week despite needing varying degrees of attention. Divine Shine replaced heels on two pairs of heels, resoled a pair of leather boots, fixed a pair of suede boots that I wore down to the block, and matched the red bottoms of the Louboutins heels for a sole replacement and added a toe protector. If you want the best, Divine Shine is where it's at.
Wonderful employees with exceptional service. This was my second attempt to find a cobbler in DC, and the search ends with Divine Shine's great quality and friendly employees. I am beyond impressed with their service. My favorite boots look better than new, and I can't wait to bring in my favorite loafers and see them restored to their former glory.
This place works miracles! I had a bleach spot on a pair of grey leather shoes and now the spot is gone. In fact, I think the shoes look better than they did when I bought them! They undercharged me for the service it was a more intensive fix than they predicted and didn't charge more when I picked them up. This is an honest and quality business.
This shop did a great job on a pair of leather Gucci loafers in need of some TLC. After a new sole and a shine, they were just like new!
I don't how all these reviews are great. Gave them a pair of shoes to get a torn part fixed, they instead replaced the really nice soles that it had. Then we had pretty lame excuses conversation like "you are getting new soles", "I was not the one who took it in", "there must've been some conversation about soles". Update - When I put it on today, I realized they also tore the top. Unbelievable!
