A-Tech Security

Like the alarm, hate the support people. If I write what I really want to, they won't publish the review. Was told lastnight that I would receive a call to help with the issue. Surprise surprise, no call. Receive a call at 615 am. On call guys phone was on silent. Skip to the end, he calls me a d!ck, says find a new company and hangs up on me. I will. Failure from first person, to last. Turns out this guy has a reputation for this kind of treatment.

Installation went very well. Updates to the system are great, and very user-friendly. This company was recommended by a friend, and we are glad we switched.

We had a tech security for many years and we were very happy with them. If you are also a customer of theirs, you will have recently received an updated contract that they want you to sign. Please beware of this contact and read it carefully before you sign it. It calls for the homeowner to get a $1 million policy naming a tech as an additional insured, and the premium is your responsibility. Also they do not stand behind the equipment that they install. They say that they will install equipment but they do not guarantee that it will work, and they relieve themselves for all liability for any equipment that does not work or perform as expected. If you sign this contract you waive any right to a jury trial, and you waive any right to even make a claim against them. Especially beware of the following, if you continue to use their services, the last paragraph in the agreement states that you are agreeing to the contract whether you sign it or not! There are a number of problems with this agreement, it is very unfriendly to their customers , and I have only named a few of the problems with it. I wrote to the lady who sent me the contract and I asked if we could discuss it or if there was somebody I could discuss it with, and I simply have not heard from her. Sadly, we will be moving our business elsewhere, and I am so sorry to have to do that.

Enthusiastic kudos to A-Tech on our recent full system update and upgrade and monitoring switch-over! Rich is extremely knowledgeable and was very responsive to our needs as we discussed home security options to upgrade our system. The A-Tech staff did an exceptional job setting us up and Rich himself spent the entire day on-site with his team. Highly recommend!

We had been looking to upgrade our alarm for some time, and our previous provider seemingly had little interest in assisting us through this process. A-Tech was FANTASTIC! They showed up on time, listened to what we wanted to achieve, made many suggestions on how to improve our system and automate devices in an integrated system. No pressure to purchase items we weren’t interested in. Install went smoothly, we were showed how to work the system and set up. Rich, the owner, came out a few days later to assist in reviewing operation and to optimize a few features for us! Locally owned company, easy to work with and very responsive! Highly recommend!

A-Tech is a great company! They were able to revive my 20 year old alarm system by upgrading the alarm panels and main circuit. The estimation and sales process was no pressure and technically spot on. The installation took about half a day and the team showed up when they said they would. Since the installation I have had one small question and Rich the owner helped me and addressed my concern within a few minutes, that is excellent customer service. If you're looking for an alarm system, I would recommend giving A-Tech a call.

A-Tech is a top notch, professional company, from the owner, down to each and every installer. That's why I have A-Tech equipment in my own home, and a second home. The owner is a guy who wants to make you happy and solve your problems, even if it means recommending a product or solution he doesn't even sell! I was interested in hiring a local company for designing, installing, configuring a security system, along with monitoring. A-TECH seemed to get consistent great reviews. They did not disappoint. The owner was great to work with, spending a good amount of time with me going over all options, his thoughts, and recommendations. Even better, the install crew was really top notch. They were careful, considerate, knowledgeable, clean and careful with everything, and installed as if it was their house. They even patched some nearby plaster just because they were there and noticed. They really went above and beyond a standard doing-the-job install. This is rare and highly valued. A-TECH hires good people and seems to pass down a work ethic. A+ to all concerned. The owner followed up post-install, post-sale, to make sure I was happy and offered to come out any time. Great local business, from all I can tell at this point.
