Suuuper cool place to visit and browse. My boyfriend was upset he didn’t have enough time to properly look before our reservation nearby. Lol So many genres. They have a station where you can test out the LPs- loved that. Staff was great and super helpful. Can’t wait to stop in again, of course, with more time.
This probably the store with the worst customer service and attitude I have ever been to, and I've been to 100s.. the collection itself is huge, super impressive and the records condition is mint. But all of that worth nothing when all employees don't understand who the client is...
After 20 years of absence to Japan, I revisited this my old favorite. It is unbelievable how pricy everything got in the city, and I don’t blame that A-1 also needed to adjust the price line. But, before my revisit I already did a bunch of benchmarking in west village and Brooklyn, and I repeatedly encountered vinyls that are more expensive here. The only discovery I was happy with was, Ben Sidran’s album, which was $10, and it is bottom of the price line. Mint condition. Obviously this album was not evaluated. He’s the Jazz doctor.
if you are into hip hop EPs and 12” this is the place to be , huge collection of all the classics mostly from new york artist and a nice selection from the west. but if you are into LP’s the options are limitless but on point . the prices are fair. ideal for DJs and collectors as well.
One of the United State’s best shops. And very well priced! All of the New York classics. Best cuts for a DJ!
How cool is it that these guys are still around. It’s so wonderful to pop by and see so many rare finds. And discover new things. This shop is awesome
Lots of Gems in the discount crates. AND they have all genres! Found salsa, jazz, reggae and guaguanco records. Fiya!!
Always a pleasure. So many good vibes and a big range of used and new records. A lot of rare stuff.
Love this place! Always great finds and good prices, so grateful that a record store like this still exists.
I found all the records I was looking for and I have digged major record stores in NY and Chicago. The price is slightly on the high side but the records are in good condition. The dollar bin also has great selection but it matches the quality
