My wife and I enjoy staying at new to us hotels in Denver. We often do quick weekend trips a few times a year. This past weekend we stayed at AC Hotel in Denver, which was amazing. The room we had had amazing views of Downtown Denver. Yes, the room was a slightly smaller size, but it was just the two of us and it was just fine. We really loved the vibe of the hotel. The AC Bar on the main level was a great place to sit with a drink and hang out for a bit. We also got to enjoy the rooftop bar which I do think is technically part of the other hotel that shares the same building. But the rooftop bar was a really cool place to hang out. Although the second night we were there, the host/staff was pretty rude and because of that, we left immediately. AC Hotel is in a great spot to be able to get to great places in Denver. All in all, we for sure will be staying at this hotel again in the future. It was both of our favorite hotel we have stayed at so far.
I was recently in town for a conference and this hotel was the perfect location. Most hotels in a city can be loud, but thankful this place was very quiet. The rooms are modern and clean. Definitely one of the best Marriott properties!Rooms: 5/5
Hotel management refuses to take responsibility for putting public safety at risk. I commute by bike every day and my route takes me by the front of this hotel in the afternoon. There is a protected bike lane that is separated from the street by stanchions and is clearly painted and marked. Unfortunately the entrance and exit to the AC Hotel valet stand goes right through it. Making this worse, the valet staff would regularly park cars in the bike lane causing me and other cyclists to have to leave the protected bike lane and merge with traffc. In late September, I was fed up with this and stopped to talk to the hotel about it. I've worked in the industry in the past and I know that if you really want something done, talk to the general manager. This wasn't just a simple problem, this was the hotel staff and valet putting public safety at risk due to laziness and a lack of empathy. After a significant wait, the first person to come talk to me was a woman who identified herself as the Front Desk Manager. She was clearly very annoyed at having to talk to me at all, this was evident in her posture, her tone of voice, and her choice of words. I asked her why she was annoyed and she attempted to excuse it as taking my issue very seriously. This was a lie as she quickly tried to absolve the hotel of responsibility because the valet is a contractor. I reminded her that the valet represents the hotel, regardless of who they are paid by. She asked for my business card, which I don't have, and I asked for hers which she said she would get for me. Soon the valet supervisor arrived who was very pleasant to talk to and said he understood the problem and would try to "be better". Putting public safety at risk is a big deal and I advised him that being better isn't good enough, they need to not block the bike lane. The front desk manager told me I was dealing with the valet now and walked away. I asked for her card and she repeated that I was dealing with the valet now. I contacted the local enforcement and the hotel was issued a warning. Thankfully, I haven't seen this problem again since, but I have a feeling that it's only a matter of time. I contacted corporate about the rudeness and annoyance of the front desk manager and they promised someone would contact me in 5 to 7 business days. I'm happy that this seems to have been resolved, but not at all impressed by the crassness and cowardliness of the hotel front desk manager and the refusal of the hotel to contact me to discuss this issue. If this is how the hotel treats a public safety risk that they created, I would hate to see how they treat paying customers. I'll choose a chain other than Marriott next time I travel.
The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more pleasant, highlighted by the attentiveness of the housekeeping staff. We were never left wanting and can't say enough about their positive attitudes in a profession where, I'm sure, it is not always that easy to do. Congrats on having a terrific property!Rooms: 5/5
My stay was amazing, you are within walking distance to everyting! There plenty of restaurants within walking distance, the bar on the roof top has the best views in the city. But, the best part of this hotel was the GM who went above and beyond for my stay, as well as the bartender at the lobby bar. Can't wait to come back!
Comfortable, clean hotel centrally located. Fun roof deck bar. Corner room was very spacious. Late-night food is not easy to come by in this neighborhood though, so if you’re craving a 1am pizza after a night of drinking, you’re gonna be out of luck.
Hotel itself is clean and conveniently located downtown. Rooms are small without some amenities that you'd expect from a higher-end hotel. Our bed was terribly uncomfortable with rock hard pillows. My biggest complaint was the breakfast that NO ONE mentioned was not included with our room rate. We did not order any additional hot meals, just had a simple pick of yogurt, fruit, toast and coffee and spent $45 for 2 people. How continental breakfast is not included after spending $500 for 2 mediocre nights is beyond me. Very disappointed and will not be returning. I've had better experiences at La Quinta!
The hotel is drastically understaffed and the staff they do have is not well-trained. I've gone round and round with their front desk, accounting department, and director of rooms yet my hotel bill has yet to be corrected. I have filled out countless versions of the same forms over and over again. This is absurd. Also, their valet was quite slow to respond and rather chaotic when they finally did. Do not recommend this hotel at all. There are plenty of other Marriott branded hotels in Denver with much better service.
Stayed here for a few days on business and I have absolutely no complaints. Clean room that had all “necessary” amenities. It is located very close to the convention center and many close restaurants. We were able to get a fridge on request, but I wouldn’t count on it.
Stayed for a week as a solo traveler. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to a lot of museums/restaurants etc. the staff at the hotel were amazing— always paying attention to guests needs. It also happens to have a pretty lively bar so stick around for happy hour or stop by for a nightcap and say hi to Jesse.
