Academy Ballroom

My dance classes at this ballroom studio have been absolutely amazing. My instructor Brian was very attentive and thorough in his teaching methods for the dance group class as well as the private dance class. I would recommend the studio to anyone whether you are a beginner or a pro. Everyone on staff is very friendly and also patient when teaching. I can tell my instructor was very passionate about dancing and that attitude was contagious because I learned to love it very quickly and early on. I am definitely going to continue my learning here.

I have taken series of Introduction to Latin Dance lessons and they have all be a blast. Love the workout, love the energy of the instructors and other students, love the look of the ballroom. Everything is on point and I look forward to Thursdays every week. I will be extending my lessons and doing more! Thank you, Eddie, and your instructors for creating a fabulous vibe I enjoy again and again.

My partner bought the beginner’s package for us for Valentine’s Day. The value is so great, and I’m very happy that we came. Our instructor Brian was fun and patient. Claudine was very hospitable and made the intake/sign up process so smooth. Her customer service was exceptional. The flexibility of the classes make it so easy to schedule around both of us working full time and having a toddler. Also being able to do private lessons and group sessions help with the ease of learning if you fear looking silly. We have just started, but I’m impressed by the amount we have learned in so little time. Will continue to keep coming. It’s such a nice way to get out of the house and do something besides a movie and dinner. Would recommend to a friend in a heartbeat.

Everyone I’ve met at the studio has been very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend giving the beginners package a try if you’re looking to learn to dance.

I started taking lessons at Academy Ballroom last fall and have had an amazing experience so far!! They provide exceptional service in all areas. Instructors and staff are friendly, professional, and accommodating. Instructors – Rachael, Jeff, and Ivan are knowledgeable, patient, and always take the time to explain and break down steps. Nikki is extremely helpful and answers all questions. It is a very nice facility and I highly recommend taking classes here!

I have loved taking dance lessons at Academy Ballroom Atlanta this past month. My instructor, Rachael, has been great and she has taught me so much already! I got the couples package for my partner’s birthday, and I’m so glad I did! Rachel welcomed us as total beginners with open arms & guided us through our first two private lessons. We both had a ton of fun and felt incredibly at ease despite typical first-time nerves. We had our first group class last night Intro to Tango & Rumba with Alexis as our teacher and we are *definitely* looking forward to our next 4 classes with her! If you and your partner are looking to try dance classes, this is the place to go!

I have been coming to this studio for a little over a month now. I have grown so much as a dancer. I have learned how to do salsa, rumba, and bachata. All of the teachers have been excellent. Each class has been exiting and engaging. I enjoy how all of the classes have been lively and entertaining. I can’t recommend this studio enough.

That was my experience, I put off taking lessons for about a year and now, I regret why I waited so long. They have everything you could possibly want to learn for ballroom couples dancing but don't worry about getting lost, Brian and Rachel, two of the instructors, were so helpful, kind, patient and fun! They broke everything down listened to me and new exactly which direction I should go. You can feel that they love what they do. Don't wait any longer, you are going to have so much fun.

Eddie was my instructor. He was amazing! He encouraged me everyone I made a mistake and made me feel comfortable. I’ve never danced before and this class made me feel like I can! Highly highly recommend. Everyone is super friendly.
