Been parking here for years. They always has real people working the garage and it was really convenient when downtown. It was easy. Never had any problems. Now they have machines, you take your ticket, pay before you leave $12 and put the ticket into the machine at the exit to leave. Unless it takes you 20 minutes to get to your car and wait in line to get out after a game. Then when you try to leave they extort $2 more out of you just to get the gate raised. Never using this garage again.
This place is a over priced rip off operation. Was staying at the Marriott Courtyard on 09/07/18. Their valet parking was full, so they referred us to this garage, which is just behind the Marriott . Attendant requested $20 Up front for event parking. I told him I was parking over night as a guest at the Marriott. He stated this fee would cover the over night parking. When we went to leave on Saturday morning the ticket issued by the attendant wouldn’t open the exit gate. Finally got some faceless voice with the help button at the pay kiosk. Was rudely informed that I had only paid for event parking and would have to pay an additional $20 to exit the garage. $40 to park overnight. Find some place else to park. I’m going to have to ding Marriott’s review just for being within smelling distance of this scam operation.
Tight turns, limited spaces, $4 for 30 minutes then $2 every 30 minutes after. A little pricey for a decrepit building. Where is this money going? Definitely not to upkeep.
This garage is conveniently located to the main Superior court in downtown. It definitely is priced reasonably, considering the cost of other garages further away. Now one way this company is reducing costs, is a fully automated pay machine, no personnel manning the booth. Cash is not accepted and you must take your ticket with you and pay before going back to your vehicle. So this may cause some people difficulties. The main reason four stars is the fifth floor level has no elevators. And the space of this place, in terms of manuevering your vehicle is very tight.
I park here when I have to go downtown, last time I was there I came back to truck and back end had been hit, smashing the left side in to point of not even being able to open tailgate. I asked attendant if they had cameras. He responded no. I called police to file a report and was told it was private property there was nothing they could do. The corner of my bed is damaged, tailgate damaged, and bumper is mashed in. It's a new truck. Now every time I walk out door I have to look at it. I have full coverage, but if you file a claim your insurance goes up. It's a loose loose situation unless you can find the person that did it. I would give a a high rating as this has always been a good place to park. Some security cameras wouldn't hurt. What if someone got attacked?
I paid $12 for parking and while I was in line to exit the garage the party in front of me didn't pay at the stall before going to her car, so by the time she did that it made the vehicle behind her and and everyone else pay an extra $4 for waiting. The person on the speaker said there was nothing he could do because that's just the policy and we couldn't speak to anyone else in charge til the next morning. So everyone in the garage was charged extra for waiting.
Rediculosuly overpriced. Would not have even parked there if there was actually any parking in the city of phoenix. All they care about is getting your money the place is disgustingly dirty even for a parking garage. I've been to off the main road truck stops that looked abandoned on the outside yet were cleaner then this garage. The staff is the only good part to this structure, they were at least polite.
But expensive for city parking, but better than walking a half mile for a cheaper or free lot, and your running late for Judge. Remember, you get what you pay for!!!!
Kiosks couldn't read the ticket. I had only been parked in the lot for an hour and a half, and the ticket wasn't damaged. The security guard says this happens a lot. I'm not parking here again. Extra star for the friendly security guard.
If they didn't have a monopoly on parking in the small area of the court house they wouldn't be so popular.
