Dr. Liansheng Liu L.Ac., NCCAOM.; Ph.D., Dr. Liu majored in acupuncture in Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and graduated in 1986. He worked in one of the largest Oriental Medicine hospitals in China as the Chief Resident using a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine for diagnosis and treatments of various diseases. Dr. Liu also did clinical practice teaching for international students from Germany, Australia, United Kingdom, etc. in China. He obtained his Ph. D. in Medicine and was granted a scholarship award from the Japanese government. Dr. Liansheng Liu conducted a series of challenging projects on the effects of acupuncture for pain suppression using Chinese Medicine meridian theory with Western Modern Medicine and the findings were published in the peer-reviewed journal of Neuroscience Research (2000). His research focuses on pain; neurodegenerative and endocrinological disease; anticancer drugs on tumor treatment; stem cells biology and transplantation; nutrition on bone development as well as Chinese herbs for osteoarthritis and arthritis treatment. Dr. Liu has over 20 years experience and an excellent reputation for his treatment of his patients. He is fluent in three languages, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
