Affiliates In Physical Therapy

Normally I am not writing reviews, but this center deserves a review. From the first contact with Cherish at the front desk the experience became very positive. Cherish managed to get me to see Dr. Howard quite quickly and from there got me to see the Physical therapist immediately. I have been seeing both Caleb and Adriane and just from a few sessions I have such good experience. They are very professional and extremely knowledgeable, both Adriane and Caleb are therapists that can be trusted 100%. I consider myself being lucky being treated at this center.

This is my third time around having PT. Also started in March during COVID. Was very impressed with the protocole in place, felt safe and comfortable. Jennifer Hochnadel was my PT and took tremendous care of me, coaxing gently and pushing when needed. Most of all she is a really good active listener - even the small details- and was able to steer adapt and adjust the treatment and therapy as we went. I entered rather "crippped" and after a few months of therapy no longer experience any pain, I now follow a routine at home in order to maintain the free motion and remain pain free. jennifer gave me tools and options for the hurdles or set backs so I can deal with issues myself. Definitely recommend Affiliates in Physical Therapy. They are not the closest to me 40' drive but very much worth the time and effort.

I've gone to multiple PT places with little to no improvement and dealt with many surgeons...... And once you go to OakBend, you will know what excellent Physical Therapy IS and CAN DO! My wife started getting therapy here after she broke her leg. We spent quite a bit of time here over nearly 5 months. Everyone in the office made her feel comfortable and welcome, and she always got 1 therapist dedicated to her for the entire hour. They definitely really care about their patients, and we actively looked forward to seeing the people each visit.

I can’t recommend Affiliates highly enough— especially Eric and John. I went in to consult about foot pain, and expected an orthotic diagnose and adios. But I had 8 hour-long sessions that included massage therapy, education on how to make affected/ connected muscle groups less tight, stronger. I took home instructions on how to do my own maintenance exercises. And along with the orthotic, I got a lifelong program for how to stay mobile and pain free for years to come. Thank you, John and Eric! You’re the best!

I have used Affiliates of Physical Therapy 3 times since 2008 for various issues. I don’t think I’d go anywhere else for care. The therapist are well-trained, skilled, knowledgeable, caring, and very, very patient. Just what I needed! My last issue has been particularly persistent. They have hung in there with me and adjusted their approach to find the right treatment plan. They are thorough! They look at the whole body to figure out what’s causing the problem. They’ve helped me with how I sit, stand, run, they’ve looked at my shoes, and watched me pedal my bicycle…they even had me bring in my bike to check the settings. You can’t beat that! Their office is very convenient to my house but frankly, I’d travel a long way if I had to get to them. They are that good. I’ve had Laurie, John and Adriane help me most recently, but I’d trust any of their PT’s. They’ve helped me to get back to what I love to do. Thank you!

As an equestrian, I have several orthopedic problems and have always been disappointed with physical therapy until I went to Affiliates in Physical Therapy. They have a very specific scientifically based program and techniques that really work. They don't just throw several exercises at you that cause even more pain. They work hard to help prepare your body for strengthening and change first. The treatment plans are very custom tailored to your specific body and your sport. I am extremely pleased with their quality of care.

Jennifer, Adrian and Kristah are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, kind and compassionate especially when they know they're hurting you! physical therapists. Oakbend is not just another physical therapy clinic. It's one-on-one for the entire hour. You don't share your therapist with anyone else, so you don't twiddle your thumbs waiting for someone to tell you what next to do or ensure you're doing it right. Even though Affiliates in Physical Therapy of Oakbend Medical Center are a long drive for me while other facilities are just around the corner, the drive is worth it to me because of the expertise, knowledge and attention of the therapists.

Cynthia has changed my life for the better in the space of a weeks. Knowledgeable, caring and incredible capable at what she does. Years of drug therapy did nothing but hold the pain Cynthia has given me back fluidity of motion and confidence and ability to build strength and gave me again freedom that health brings. Thank you! I initially selected due to good reviews and that Cynthia has worked with equestrians. Cynthia has a deep understanding of how the body works, a great ability to listen and understand her patients needs along with a thoroughly interesting and knowledgeable personality making each session a learning experience as well as a therapeutic one.

Ten weeks ago I was playing tennis and felt a severe pain in my shoulder. MRI showed several issues possibly requiring surgery. I went to Affiliates and was evaluated by Laurie Johnson. She said she didn’t think I needed surgery, and this was confirmed by an orthopedic surgeon. Laurie and her team did a fabulous job and now 6 weeks after the first treatment I’m back on the court with zero pain.
