Tai Chi Center established by Grandmaster Aiping Cheng, one of the world's foremost authorities in Chinese Martial Arts.
Master Aiping Cheng's distinguished martial arts heritage is unparalleled in the world. Master Aiping was a member of the elite Chinese National Wushu Team six times, including the historic 1974 team that performed for President Nixon when U.S. and the People's Republic of China first opened relations. Master Aiping was then promoted to Head Coach of the Zhejiang Wushu Team. In addition to her elite wushu training, Master Aiping also studied extensively under traditional masters, including Yang style Tai Chi under Master Fu Zhongwen; Sun style Tai Chi, Bagua, and Xingy iunder Master Sun Jianyun, Master LiYulin, and Master Li Tianji; and Chen style Tai Chi under Master Chen Xiaowang and Master Chen Zhenglei. Master Aiping was a three time All-China National Tai Chi Chuan Champion. She was also part of the 1986 committee of sixteen Tai Chi masters that standardized competition standards and rules for Tai Chi.
Master Aiping moved to Connecticut in 1996 and established the Aiping Wushu Center in Orange, CT in 1998. In 2008, Master Aiping established the Aiping Tai Chi Center in Milford, CT to focus on teaching Tai Chi and Qigong to promote health and wellness.
