Steve Terjung and his company were instrumental in solving the most important home repair issue we've ever had. One month after moving into our home, we found water leaking into our basement through the foundation wall. I instantly called Steve and he put me in touch with a restoration company who spent the weekend removing sheet rock and carpet and drying out the basement. Then we had to deal with the leak. Steve first tried several stop gap measures in hopes of stopping the leak at minimal cost. Unfortunately we kept having moisture after a hard rain. So Steve then acted as a general contractor to fully and permanently address the problem. After removing all the dirt against the basement, Steve and his team fully cleaned and double-sealed the foundation wall. Steve also oversaw the construction of a new drainage system to properly channel water away from the house. Now we can confidently finish the basement without worry. Through all this, Steve was accessible by phone and FaceTime any time we had an issue. He communicated well about what was coming up next and always showed up on time. My entire experience with Steve and his team was awesome. He's really friendly and all my interactions with him have been positive. He came out and quickly identified the problem causing my basement leak. But not only did he observe the obvious, but was able to identify a previous repair that wasn't done correctly. Also, during his inspection he noticed a potential caution area and made sure to mention it to me, but prioritized the job properly. Then he walked me to the front to educate me on what I can do to prevent future leaks, and even pointed out some wasp nests that were beginning to form that I hadn't noticed. When his team arrived for the work, they showed up 10 minutes early! I was stunned. That was seriously one of the best parts. The team was great, quiet, and did the work. We recently had the pleasure of working with Steve of AKME Waterproofing & Sealant to repair a crack in our basement wall. After interviewing several waterproofing companies, we finally met Steve and instantly knew that this was the company we wanted to use. Steve took the time to explain to my husband and I what the problem was and how he planned to remedy the situation. I had other vendors who wanted to do way more than was necessary to solve the issue and appreciated the professionalism and honesty of Steve.
