Highly recommended!!!!
This place is on a edge of a sidewalk which is really cool. The stairs take you right to the basement where you ll find the front bar, as you walk more towards the back you ll find the performance area. We went on a Saturday night, there was live music which was fantastic followed by budding stand up comedians which could be a hit or a miss but overall very nice experience. People are nice, servers are great and friendly.

One of the city's best spots IMHO -- free live music from awesome regional folk/folk-rock artists every single night, 7-10pm. Artists do weeklong residencies and bring in different musician friends every night, so it's always different and fresh.
Very chill on weeknights -- very much (as I imagine it) a 60s-Greenwich-Village-pub sort of atmosphere. Usually lots of folks on weekends, though I've never had trouble getting in. Free (quality) comedy shows after the music ends at 10 on weekends, I think.

Always an amazing atmosphere. 3 levels to sit and eat, drink, people watch to listen to live music (always Free!). You can’t go wrong. Terrific cocktails. The only downside is parking ... but that’s portland so get creative! Be sure you get your passport so you can find the picture & get your stamp!

Great place to have fun with extreme good music! The beer and spirit selection is good and gave me a new inspiration for irish single malts. The Food is “so lala“ not bad but not really good. But this is compensated by the incredible live acts! Also the live acts start already at 7pm what I like a lot! Come a little earlier (around 6:30pm) then you have good seats. Otherwise it could be you have to wait. Btw: the live music is in the basement. Entry is in the tip of the building!

Great! Cool, cozy space. Saw a great jazz band. Drink service was a bit slow but not a deal breaker.
