Al’s Oasis

LOVE this place! Lots of different shops to spend your money on! Not just junk, either. They have some beautiful art pieces for sale, camping supplies, even stuff to keep the kiddies busy! And they even have a REAL grocery store! The restaurant has never let us down yet.... There's a motel next door..... And a very nice campground right down the road. Gonna suggest this to our kids when they make their journey West next summer.

Stopped for breakfast on our way home from Rapid City SD to Wisconsin. The Good: + the services was great. + food came fast + Military discount + very easy to find as they have dozens of bill boards on I 90. + very nice and recently remodeled rest rooms + great prices Not so good: - kind of a musty odor. Dirty carpets? - very dark decor - no blueberry or whole wheat pancakes - small breakfast menu selection - coffee was watery and tasteless. And I NEEDED coffee.

When we walked in we were seated right away, but it took a waiter 10 minutes to come and take our word orders. We order 3 waters and 1 ice tea, the waiter came back with 2 waters and 1 ice tea, we all order the buffet because if we ordered from the menu we would have ever gotten our food, all of the waiters were oohing and ahhing over some 2 year old. My brother never got his water and the food was awful. I would never come back to Al's Oasis.

Always a must stop when heading out west river. Their Buffalo burgers are so good! I always have amazing wait staff that is attentive but not hovering. I recommend this place to everyone passing threw the state.

Expect a long line especially during the noon hour. The food is well worth the wait. Unfortunately, the service I received was NOT worth the wait. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated I certainly wouldn't have minded sitting for a few minutes before being acknowledged by the waitress. However, taking another 15 minutes was a little too long. Waitress spoke to me when she took my order then again when she dropped off the ticket. Needless to say this was reflected in her tip.
