Alabama Teen Challenge

I had a family member try this facility. This is NO rehab. It is honestly a facility that forces your family member to go to a Pentecostal church that is very cold to these guys that attend. They are. Told what to do by teenagers, even when the family member is 10, 20, 30 years older, which isn’t a normal thing for any human. They make the men watch biblical movies, and worst thing-if someone is prescribed medication, For anything....they are NOT allowed to take it, as they have told people there that God will take over their pain, or mental issues. This is not possible, and very sad to hear, as I am a religious person. I hate hearing they have done this o individuals....wow! This is not a great program, they are being investigated at many many locations, this is one I hope that is being looked into as the treatment of us human beings, we all deserve respect-this place doesn’t give it to any one person, it is very sad. Also-I know of a friend that went to another location-and she was able to finish 363 days-they cut her out 2 days short of finishing the program-which meant they got to keep their 150$ deposit.....this is a practice known throughout the country-please beware everyone!!!! Take your loved one ELSEWHERE!!!
