What a fabulous small venue. We have lived in the Portland area since just before the pandemic started. We never had the chance to go. Wow! So intimate, such fabulous workers. The drinks and food were reasonably priced. The sound/acoustics were great. We have already purchased tickets for another concert in October.
The old theatre was what you might expect. No frills. The show was awesome except the sound was way too loud. The seats uncomfortable with no drink holders. The bathroom was conveniently located, the staff friendly, free ear plugs. Close to transport. Nearby Bbq was sold out of food by the time we got there, about 40 before show time. Went across the street and had some delicious tacos instead.
The Aladdin Theater has been around since 1927. It's a staple for local Portlanders who enjoy music in an intimate space. Seeing your favorite artist here is a memorable experience you won't find at the Moda Center or many other venues for that matter. It's definitely an old place, but instead of losing its appeal it is enhanced by its vintage feel and historic vibes. There's no bad seat in the house. The staff are great as well. There are two bars for drinks and a bit of food too. The barkeeps are all patient and friendly. There's a bathroom upstairs, which may throw some off. That may be the only renovation the place needs. Another bathroom downstairs, closer to the action. Do yourself a favor. See some live music here or even a comedy show. You won't regret it.
Old movie theater with decent seats and they serve adult beverages. Acoustics are good, and the tickets are usually an affordable price.
The Aladdin Theater is a fantastic place to see live music in Portland Oregon. If you have not seen a show there, you are missing out. I highly recommend.
Saw Om here and it was a great show. Great sound, seating was nice, I'd love to see more shows here.
Quaint, intimate venue that makes music and other events more fun to experience. I hadn't been here for 15 years. Still lovely
The seats aren't exactly plush, but the theatre is charming and a nice venue. We started out sitting in the front row, which was a mistake, because the area infront of the stage filled with people as soon as the concert started. That meant we had to stand as well, which we didn't want to do for the entirety of the 2 1/2 hours of music. We moved us to the balcony, and the front row of it would be the best seats in the house, IMO.
Historic venue for good shows but the seats are old and highly uncomfortable. We had to leave early as my body just couldn’t take the pain and discomfort any longer. Which is a shame because the seat experience overwhelmingly distracted me from really enjoying the show. The pizza is great and the staff was friendly.
Adorable theater perfect for more intimate showings. Also, the food and drink prices aren't too bad.
