Alanis Salon

This place was horrible. They talked me in to "damage free" extensions. 3 months ago. After the first month I was having issues with breakage and the hair falling out. I went back and they said it was normal. 2 more times I went back after that and they ignored my concerns. I finally paid for a blowout to be able to talk with someone about what was happening, I went in and the owner finally offered me a solution with a similar product but suggested I cut my hair and switch to a more expensive extensions. I had already paid 2000.00$ for the extensions that were falling out and damaging my natural hair , I was not going to let them touch me again. The attached photos are of my hair and the extensions they claimed to be damage free. I have never had such poor customer service after an issue or such poor recommendations by a senior stylist and owner of a salon. Stay away from this place.

Rosie has a great amount of experience, and knowledge when it comes to extensions and matching the color!Thomas kills it with the cuts and blowouts! Highly recommended!!

Loved it here, it’s very cute and cozy. My stylist did an amazing job on my hair. She was experienced in my type of hair and knew how to get me the results that I was looking for. It was perfect! Thanks again, Sarah.

The salon people were fairly nice, although I had a very difficult time trying to find the shop. The shop was nice and decorated nice. However, overall I’m not satisfied with my hair. I went in wanting a balayage. I have short, dark hair and knew my hair wouldn’t look exactly like the pictures, but I also made sure to pick a picture with short, dark hair so I could have a solid idea and so would the stylist. I ended up with straight up botchy highlights. when she was lightening my hair, I noticed she was going all the way to the roots with the foils, but figured she knew what she was doing, because she even made a comment about the balayage and what makes it look complete/good. Never assume. Not only do I now have highlights that I didn’t want, she messed up my hair cut. She parted my hair wrong while cutting it, the front pieces are longer than the rest not intentional like a bob and there’s clearly a section of hair that’s shorter than the rest. Luckily you can only see this when I straighten my hair, and I don’t do that often. I would go somewhere to get this fixed, that that would require cutting more hair off which I don’t want to do the struggles of trying to grow your hair back out. I won’t be coming back here. I don’t know what the girl was thinking. AND.... I had a Groupon That was also supposed to include styling. Since when was blow drying considered to be “styling”? Every swim I’ve been to when they style you’re hair, they curl or straighten, whatever you’d like really. Just had a weird vibe from this place overall. And this is also why women always have trust issues with hair salons.

This is such a wonderful Salon! You will not regret giving them a try if you haven't already. I moved here from phoenix back in November. I blindly purchase a Groupon for Alanis salon. I was so incredibly surprised! The salon is very cute, the staff and owner are very nice and they have stylist that know how to do my hair! If you are of mixed culture or African American don't hesitate to give this salon a try. I have super curly hair and Pam and Celina back in December did a wonderful job with my fizzy curls! I will definitely be going back.

This salon is absolutely beautiful, all the decor is just incredible. Courtney did an AMAZING job on my hair!! I had brassy box color shame on me and she made it look great! She answered all my questions, before we began, so I was confident how my hair would look in the end. I definitely will be back.

I have been having my hair colored with Rosie for over 13 years. I followed her to Alanis and have been so happy. I have never had a better experience with getting my hair colored. I'm an extremely picky client. Rosie is absolutely aware of my needs. She has always met and exceeded all of my needs. I have noticed that there have been several comments that are extremely negative about this salon, and for what reason I can't even imagine. I have told every single person I know to use her services. It is an absolutely beautiful salon that is immaculately clean at all times. They have the best products in town. I love coming here. The staff she has is wonderful. It seems that there have been some very negative reviews on yelp about the salon. Most of these reviews tend to come from ex employees. Personally I look at this as slander because there is nothing negative I could ever say about Rosie's salon. Disgruntled staff members saying negative things about an employer on yelp is inexcusable. The quality of cuts, customer service, and color here is beyond amazing.

I loved my experience at Alanis. My hairstylist was very attentive and did a fabulous job. The staff was very nice as well, they take care of you. The afternoon was a pleasure, lots of conversation and laughs. The quality is there, I am really happy with the result. Being a single mother I am not able to visit as often as I would like. I tried this salon because I had a coupon. But if I could afford it, it is well worth it!

My hairstylist was Thomas. I came in to correct my hair style done by other stylist in same saloon. He has changed my total look and gave me the look I wanted to have. He made sure that I’m happy with the results before leaving. Everyone at the salon is super nice and friendly!
