Alaska Car and Van

Tom was helpful in several ways on our trip to Alaska. They were able to rent us a clean car that was less expensive than some other car rentals. I did not have to pay an airport rental fee because they were able to pick me up at our hotel. He also gave us some great information on places around the Anchorage area to visit.

Great place to buy a car, bought a car from here back in October with 93k miles on it, told me their maintenance schedules for each of their vehicles and knew what they were doing. The car now has 100k+ miles on it and haven't encountered one issue at all. Definitely will be doing business with them again!

The price seemed reasonable enough for the summer months when all cars would be rented and the man who looked over the car with us seemed honest and gave us a few tips when renting cars from places. The star deductions come from the outrageous costs for driving on dirt roads/getting flat tires etc. Definitely read and heed the contract that you're signing or you will be paying a significant amount more. Lucky for us, we did just that, but I would have for someone to get slapped with nearly tripple their initial cost.

David is phenomenal. He's extremely personable and will be more than happy to recommend things to do all over Alaska for you. Their customer service is A+. If and when I come back I will definitely be renting from these folks again. They are very honest, kind, and helpful folks. Support the local businesses!

I have rented cars from alaska car and van several times and got a good deal every time. Was happy with the cars and they made the service seem personal. The local knowledge helped a lot.
