This place has no shame or care about you! I had a lump on my eyelid that needed to be checked. They had me wait for 4 hours just for the doctor to tell me he can't help me and that he'll refer me to another practice. They charged me $88 for nothing. I was just so exhausted and had no more energy to argue so I complied i should've taken this people to court. I hate how they just take advantage of you. Wasted my time and money. Stay away from this place.
Top notch care, efficiency and just overall concern for the patient. Have been here 3 times now. Twice for myself, once for my son, all 3 times they took care of our needs.
I can only speak to the Covid vaccine experience and it was extremely easy here. Give yourself a few extra minutes for paperwork. Also recognize, as they get busier now that the vaccine is available to everyone in Alaska over 16, their waiting area is modest and so you might need to head outside or to your car to safely wait. Everyone was friendly and I suggest you ask to speak with the nurses if you have questions about the vaccines. They have paperwork, probably provided by the state or federal government, that can be confusing. They were happy to answer all of my questions. Also note, you will need to wait between 15 and 30 minutes after the shot to make sure you don’t have side effects. They have folks waiting in the exam rooms with the doors open, which is comfortable. Just bring something to read. Small clinics like this may not be as fancy or high tech as some of the hospitals and private practices in town but they serve their patients well where they live, which is so important. Further, they generally see all patients via self pay. They also have some basic trauma capabilities which alleviates some of the stress on local emergency rooms.
Tonight I went into the clinic to get a potential infection checked out. The receptionist was AMAZING! I thought to myself “everyone seems so friendly, I’ll come here from now on”. That all changed when I got back to the room and spoke with care provider Jessica Jensen. I’ve been burning up with a fever and barely hanging in there when Jessica decides it’s okay to cut me off twice and belittle me. Her behavior was very poor and I’m mad at myself for not telling it to her face. I was just feeling so drained by that point I had no energy to give her. Also I would like to add she BARE HANDED TOUCHED MY POTENTIAL STAPH INFECTION ON MY FACE 7times in a row. Just *poke poke poke poke* I was in shock. Like cmon? You know that is not safe practice also monkey pox is going around. There’s just so many things wrong with that. The wait time was not bad, but the cost was 200$ Anyways Jessica I hope clean up your attitude.
Dont bother with this location. You will wait hours to see a doctor just to get a prescription for antibiotics for an ear infection. They seriously have no time mangement skills and there facility is grimmy. You will just waste three hours of your life sitting there in pain. If you have tricare just go to the ER it will be quicker.
I have come in twice for different reasons. Both times the staff was great and very helpful. About an hour from start to finish. Not bad at all in my opinion. I saw some negative reviews on the call time. I haven’t ever called them but I noticed the receptionist had to put people on hold because she was checking in a couple different people so if your call time sucks that’s probably why. Great place, definitely recommend.
I called to schedule an appointment for my Wife and Daughter to get a medical exam for immigration This is 1 of 4 doctor's offices in Anchorage that is authorized by USCIS to do this and the doctor would not see my 6yo daughter since she isn't fully vaccinated. I have nothing against vaccination my Wife and I are fully vacc'd with boosters. I think its ridiculous that the doctor would not see my daughters for something as critical and limited as this.
Don't bother. 5/14/22. I went in for shortness of breath, pain in my chest, and a sore throat... waited for TWO hours for an overworked doctor covered in dried vomit to come barely look at me and when she "listened to my lungs" she said, "take a deep breath". I was telling her I was trying, but she replied, "no, a deep breath". Which was the whole reason I was there in the first place. Absolute disregard for the patient. Then she just wrote a script for penicillin. This place is grimy and dirty and should not be an operating health clinic. You are better off staying home. No answers as to why I can't breathe, no tests, no labs, just penicillin. Which I will not take. I wanted an explanation to my inability to breathe. They may want to care, but they don't.
I don’t have insurance of any kind. I always come here because it’s close to home, and fast. But after several times coming here I now choose this location because of the friendliness of the staff! They are always so nice and always take care of me! The last two visits this week I was feeling pretty sick and they treated me very fast! And they didn’t charge me both times. They usually do charge me every other visit. They are the best urgent care I ever been to! Strongly recommend them 110%!
Front desk lady was nice but in my opinion there’s so many better locations in anchorage then this spot also seems very outdated
