Find another attorney!!! My closing documents were incorrect, as I was overcharged for property taxes that were already paid by my mortgage company. I contacted Lisette Snead to explain her error. She refused to provide a refund stating the payment had already been sent to the county. I provided her with receipts and confirmation from the mortgage company and county showing that at the time of closing the property tax payment had already been applied, thus it should have never been added to my closing cost documents. I was ignored. She did not return email or calls, nor acknowledge the error or refund. Two months go by and I decide to try my luck again and call Snead. She tells me that her office had just received a refund from the county which I know to be false as I had previously contacted the county myself. Not only that, I explained the error months prior and don't feel as my refund should have been dependent on their refund, as the error was theirs. Additionally, if I had not called her again, I don't believe I would have been refunded the monies owed. When selling or purchasing a property its most important that all documents are correct so that both the buyer and seller have everything they need. You want to be able to put your trust in firm that realizes this important fact, and that if errors are made, they own them and do their best to correct them in a timely manner. This IS NOT that firm. Find another attorney, one whom you can trust.
Absolutely, the worst experience ever! Closing attorney chosen by the agent for the couple buying our home. After everything was signed and complete, we were there an additional 1 1/2 hours waiting on confirmation of wires, copy of the HUD1 and other papers we signed from the closing. We were left in a conference room, the receptionist was gone, the attorney was blaming funding on the lender, the lender said funding was immediate, the attorney said they never give sellers any copy of papers and then assured us that we would have our wire by 5:30pm that day. I wondered how because the bank isn't even open then. The last time we seen him, he said it would take a while to copy the HUD1 for us. Not sure why they had to copy it when we all signed 3 originals. 1 for us, 1 for the buyers and 1 for the attorney. Needless to say, we were left there, everyone was behind a door that you had to have a badge to get in. We knocked several times, no once came. We called and got the voicemail of the attorney, then called back and got 2 offices not even in Georgia, we finally left with NOTHING! No confirmation of wires and No paperwork what so ever!!!
We had a wonderful experience with Karla McCullough, our escrow officer, and Janica Drayton, our closing attorney. They were both extremely helpful and communicative and made our whole experience as sellers smooth sailing!
The closing attorney, Kimberly, seemed very unfamiliar with the lender's documents and unprepared. The seller hadn't signed ANY of the documents prior to our closing starting and there was confusion as to which CD/ALTA was the final one and discrepancies with three that were shared at the table. What should've taken 45 minutes, because the seller was not present ended up taking over an hour and half. The closing attorney left us sitting at the table for another half hour after signing to return to let us know you all were working on funding. We ended up leaving about 3pm and haven't had any update since... Laurie the closer was very attentive and responsive this entire journey, and although Kimberly was professional and polite - out buyer's entire journey was ruined by us feeling uncertain at the very end. To which I was caught off-guard and could not offer any sense of relief. As a top producing realtor in Atlanta, I hold my service partners to the HIGHEST standards. This attorney was demanded by the listing agent, Open door, but needless to say I won't allow future clients to agree to use them. RealtorRob, KW Buckhead.
This company is a fraud! Pathetic!!! You can tell they are not knowledgeable about anything but money!!!
I am a Georgia Realtor for almost 20 years and this is by far the ABSOLUTE worst experience with getting my commission check. Our closer, Stephanie, sent my Broker the wrong commission amount twice. I left her several voicemail and emails and no response. I have still yet to receive my commission check from this law firm. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!
Absolutely horrid! Here we are, sitting at Thomas and Brown... waiting over 5 hours for these bozos to send a simple wire so that we can close on selling our house. This is the most frustrating ordeal we have ever experienced trying to sell a home. Do business with these inept blowhards at your own risk.
Thanks to the comments I will save my buyers the headache of dealing with this company for their upcoming closing. Thank you for all of you that provided feedback.
They DEFINITELY 100% do not return phone calls.
Agreed with these low ratings - my documents were also incorrect and they don't answer their phones! Pathetic service.
