Story

Alcohol Awareness Training is a Nevada company with locations in Las Vegas and Reno, approved to teach the alcohol certification class required for anyone who sells alcohol, serves alcohol, or works as a security officer.

REQUIREMENTS — Nevada Revised Statute 369 requires that businesses in Nevada have their employees certified in alcohol awareness training. Companies that teach the course in Nevada must be approved and licensed by the Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education.

The Alcohol Awareness Training card (AAT card), the TAM card, and the AES card are all officially recognized as proof of successfully completing the training. The certification card is also sometimes referred to as the alcohol card, alcohol certification card, alcohol awareness card or alcohol drink card.

INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS — AAT instructors have many years experience working in the hotel/casino industry, the Nevada Gaming Control Board, cocktail service, and retail liquor sales. AAT instructors have been conducting alcohol education classes in Nevada for over 15 years with the goal of making the mandatory class fun, informative and affordable.

COST — If you are required to take the alcohol training class, you can attend a scheduled class in person for $20 or take the course online for $15. Classroom setting instruction is recommended to increase retention for taking the certification exam.

*If you take the online alcohol training course, you are still required to go to an AAT location were you will complete the final exam, have your photograph taken and purchase your card. We also provide personalized onsite training for businesses.
