Price is steep compared to NYC I know right!?, But this visit was quality! Ordered two slices: one pepperoni, one sausage, and a small drink: $9.71 before tip. Less than 6 minutes for the order up.vs 20-30 minutes at JC's New York Pizza down the street. Slices are very close to actual NY slices one slice here is about the size of two slices at JC's NY Pizza, I'll post a photo. Just to contrast, there are 11 pepperonis on Aldo's pie, there were 3.5 pepperonies at JC's. So, yeah it costs more not just more than local places, but more than actual NYC pizza in Manhattan, but bang for buck is more than local pizza spots in downtown ABQ. Service is hit or miss depending on the training of the staff food service in Albuquerque is high turnover. But even the "new guy" tonight was fast with the aide of a colleague. I'll revisit soon!
I just wanted to echo some of the other comments about overcharging. The prices are already kinda high, but our delivery girl came up asking for $9 MORE than what our order receipt stated. The order was $29 with the SIX DOLLAR delivery charge. OUCH. She told us $38. When we corrected her and asked to see her receipt she kinda just glossed over it and rounded up and requested $30. I got a Calzone which was BIG and tasted great. My boyfriend got the chicken parm sandwich. It tasted good, but it wasn't even 6 inches. High prices aside, the foods good. But if you're going to try and swindle people out of money, I'm going to knock you.
Good pizza. Not a date place. Store is in need of good cleaning and restoration. Tables all have holes drilled in them from a previous purpose I suppose, and lots of things just falling apart around the store. BUT if just looking for good pizza slices this place will work just fine. Preferred the pizza at Aldo’s versus the other nearby NY style pizza place but other location’s atmosphere was much better. IMHO. Guessing they do more delivery than eat-in at Aldo’s. Service was also good though.
This is thee go to for pizza and wings! The people are nice and we always receive our order in a timely manner. The pizza is cheesy and greasy-so NY style. And the slices to match-Huge!! We ordered a traditional pepperoni pie, and the mild sauce wings. My bf and I love this place! I have not tried delivery, so I cannot comment on this. Thanks Aldo’s !
Ordered a sandwich from my hotel through orderinn.com. Aldo's fulfilled the order. I expected a decent sandwich even though I was paying a premium price. What I got was a sub-par sandwich. I ordered pastrami and am not sure that is what they delivered hard to tell, there was so little meat and it was burnt. I couldn't tell if it was pastrami. So both the company that facilitated the order and Aldo's New York Style Pizzaria were given an opportunity to rectify the problem and they both failed to fix their mistake. Bad food, bad service, bad attitude right Bud. At least that what the called several times, pretty rude. Reflective of the quality of the overall experience. My recommendation is to avoid the business like the plague and hopefully they will go out of business.
It takes a lot for me to go online and review a restaurant but this was the worst service I’ve had in years! I handed the girl $20 for a slice of pizza with three toppings, french fries, tea, and a side of ranch and she gave me back $3.50. Didn’t seem right but I let it go and tipped the $3.50. Ten minutes later the second girl told me she burned my pizza and then asked if I still wanted it. I politely asked her to remake it so 15 minutes later she hands me the slice without my ranch. I reminded her that I ordered ranch and she said I wasn’t charged so I asked to see the receipt but she wouldn’t give it to me. I told her I’d go back to the register and pay after I had a chance to eat. She proceeded to come up the table three times and tell me I still owed her for the ranch. I will never go back to that place even though the food was good!
Pizza was good. Very cheesey and thin crust. Staff are nice and chill. Oh... They even gave us paper plates, packages of cheese and crushed red pepper, right out me asking. Trust me, you'll not regret eating here.
Literally the BEST place for pizza in Albuquerque. The best food, along with the best atmosphere and workers. They are so friendly and make you feel at home. I will always make it a point to come eat here when I’m in town.
I eat hear at least a couple times a week and the pizza is so good, so are the wings and cheese fries. But the food doesnt have anything on the service, they're always very nice and courteous.
Went there to order today and none of the staff even acknowledged as I stood there. Sad thing is the owner was there talking to the state police about covid violations related to masks in his restaurant. Obviously the owner could care less about business.
