Clean, good food and most of it was pretty tasty! Appetizer was super great. The only thing that wasn’t great was the cocktail cocktail Algeria’s. There was a lot of odd things in it, the juice tasted funny and not to our liking.
Fresh complimentary seafood ceviche and salsa. Fresh and soup! The warm 7 seas tomato based soup is delicious. Whole crab , octopus, baby scallop, fish shrimp head off and head on, green mussels....fresh veggies. ThanksDine in: Yes
Lupe's service Awesome decor feels like Cancun Mexico after a few Corona.Going back to meet a hot Hispanic man.
I loved the place and I think the name is cool too. I think I order the wrong for me but it's was good overall. Everyone seemed nice and the place was very relaxedFood: 4/5
Great variety, overpriced, so-so quality. The menu is pretty extensive. We ordered oysters on the half shell. They were small and a few were gritty. Served with lime and hot sauce. The red snapper was quite good. The fries were undercooked, the shrimp, again, small. All in all, given other area options, we'll stick with Waterfront WDM, and Seafood Trap. Their quality is superior to Alegrias.
We were so exited to come here because they had oysters in a half shell. The bar area was loud but there were people partying and signing karaoke at 6pm ... on a Sunday. No one was at entrance to seat us, so after waiting for about 10 mins we walked to the bar and asked to be seated. The hostess looked annoyed but took us to the back in the corner. There was one table with a family party of 10 and four other tables with a party of two and us. They had three waitresses working. It took another 10 minutes for the waitress to come to our table and take our order, another 10 minutes to get our drinks. We got our main dish within 45 mins with no plates or silverware, our waitress never came to check up on us and when we asked another waitress if we could get silverware, she told us to wait and about 15 mins later our waitress came out with silverware. Another 15 mins gone by and we finally got out oysters in a half shell. At this time we lost our appetite and wanted out check and to go boxes. It took about 30 mins for us to get the waitress attention. She walked away and we just went to the front to pay. This place has horrible service, we came in at 6pm and was out the door by 8:30pm, during that entire time, our waitress came three times to our table, only because we waived her down. Her and the other two waitresses continuously went to check on their other tables. So disappointed.
Let me start by saying that drinks are good and the ceviche platter that I ordered was delicious but that is were my compliments end. First of all I was shocked when we were served our food and after waiting for a while I had to asked for eating utensils and plates. The waitress was almost bothered that she had to bring us plates and silverware. Food is pricy yes but that doesn’t bother me as much, the only thing that threw me off was the automatic gratuity charge on my ticket. I hate compensating bad service. $70 for 2 people and we only ordered 2 inexpensive drinks.
Good authentic atmosphere. Food is good flavor ordered Alegria Special 130$ but was over cooked , shrimp, lobster, and crab all overcooked. The fried fish tasted like tierra. Feel like was too expensive for quality was getting. Drinks were good deffinatley for da cruda.Ceviche was dry. Ask for spicy habanero sauce.
I really wanted to support this new business but it seriously let me down.It took them 20 minutes to get my Michelada.I had no silverware on my table. They brought me someone else's food then another waitress snatched it away with barely an apology. Then they never brought me my tostadas. And once the waitress brought half the order she never came back to ask if we needed anything. Total waste of time and money.
We 2 people got there Dezember 23 about 5 pm. Service was slow, TV above our booth had the speakers on and loud, we couldn't talk. The waiter after showing up took about 10 minutes or so did lower the volume as we requested we could not even hear us. We ordered the Alegria Special. The food came half cold. The shrimp and lobster were overcooked AND cold. The top red salsa was warm. Fries and rice was good. The bill came and 130 dollars for it. No drinks at all. The waiter barrely check on us. Plate was full of shell and I ended had to waive to him to come and clean it. I am not sure about the other dishes, but the Alegria Special is NO GO. 130 dollars very badly spent. Menu does not have price on it - make sure you ask the waiter to avoid surprises.
