This church is diverse. Diversity = Jesus = Diversity
There is also a really cool prayer meeting on Friday Nights. . . . . . .
I've been going here for around 2 years.

Alethia drives knowledge of life, through biblical teaching. Adam is not your average pastor, he allows you to find Christ in a healthy perspective. Adam helps you to see that Christ, the Bible and the way we as humans have misconstrued what The Bible is actually saying vs. how we as humans want to see it. Jesus calls us to love and be a community with one another Adam and the rest of the staff at Alethia follow that wholeheartedly.
I love this church, I love the teaching and I hope you try it out.
Remember every church speaks to different people differently but the body of Christ should allow anyone to feel welcomed and that's exactly what you get from going there.
Good luck and happy church hunting.

I have attended Aletheia for the past year and highly recommend it to new Cambridge Christians! My wife and I moved to the Harvard Square area last summer (2014) for grad school and, after shopping around a few local churches via friends' and Google's recs, settled on Aletheia. Adam Mabry (lead pastor) is very sharp and insightful, and more so than most pastors that I've found, delivers a weekly message that is firmly tethered to the Word. He shares stories to help illustrate, but you'll find the preaching style to be very Word-centric, which is very good and refreshing.
I recall that the first 6-7 months we attended Aletheia, Adam led a weekly sermon series on John (beginning to end). The other sermon series have been more "conventional," but this was a great way to jump deep into the scripture of John in our first months at Aletheia.
For Cambridge newcomers, whether college/grad students or young professionals, I hope this is helpful and that you will give Aletheia a visit!

This is a beautifully diverse, gospel-driven church with great leadership and great people! They are certainly making an impact on Cambridge and the greater Boston area!

I have been a member since June of 2011 and love it here. Aletheia [pronounce uh-lay-thee-uh] has a robust Sunday morning worship service with a unique set-up in the YMCA gym, great music and clear biblical teaching. Throughout the week a number of community groups meet all over the greater Boston area to develop deeper relationships with other people and to learn more about God's word. It truly cares for the Cambridge/Boston community by helping others before helping themselves. This is a great church to check out, learn about and challenge your understanding of the gospel, and to be a part of.
