Alewife Brook Greenway

Urban Park near route 2 and some conservation land. You can hear the cars from the highway There is an industrial Park where I took these pictures. Very close to the Alewife T station and Bike trail that runs through Arlington and hooks to other bike trails in Cambridge and Belmont. Its good for what it is

I really enjoy this place, it’s great for a quick walk or make it a little longer with the bike path that runs alongside it. Sometimes there are some good things to forage, I found some sumac not pictured… but most of the time it’s just a great place to see how beautiful nature can be when fairly “untouched” by city life

A beautiful natural path winding elegantly through the luxury apartments of North Cambridge. Biking and walking trails flank bodies of water containing swans, ducks, geese, and assorted birds. Wooden dock-like walkways also stretch across certain ponds.

A great little walk, so close to the city but it feels like you are in your own piece of nature. Gets you away from the noise and chaos for some fresh air. I just love going for walks and runs in this area, plus so accessible being right next to the bike path and Alewife train station.

Lovely park and the part along the Fitchburg cutoff bike path has a nice series of boardwalks over the water. Beautiful and relaxing. It is NEARLY fully accessible but some of the connections between sand paths and boardwalks are rough. The sand paths have sunk leading to ledges that were difficult to get my mobility scooter over.

This is a beautifully designed urban park with lots of activities and trails. The Fitchburg cutoff bike path goes through the park. There's a nice boardwalk trail through a marsh habitat. You can see lots of different bird species, frogs, turtles etc. There is another shorter trail in the park which takes you near Cambridge Discovery Park. This area has lots of picnic benches and rocking chairs to enjoy a relaxing picnic in the park. There are bike rental stations near Alewife T station and on Acorn Park drive from where you can rent a bike and explore this area. An ideal place for a little urban excursion on a spring or summer's day.

Park, walk way… Ducks, Deers and Turtles in Summer! A good place for people of all age to enjoy.

A lot to highlight here, especially as a welcome local respite from the city. ...Walking & biking paths, small ponds & streams, and a surprising amount of wildlife can be found, depending on the time and season.

It's a beautiful, educational, and super easy trail to follow. Dog-friendliness: We saw many happy tails while on that trail. Picnic area: There were several chairs and a couple of picnic tables. All very clean.
