Ms. Ali has been awarded the Dr. Medger Evers Political Action Award by the NAACP presented to an individual who has exhibited outstanding commitment and leadership over the years. This award is named in memory of the late Medgar Evers who served tirelessly as the Mississippi Field Secretary.
Ms. Ali is also an Equal Justice America Fellow, which is a fellowship awarded to those who have shown an outstanding commitment to promoting fair access to the court system for indigent clients as well as advocating on behalf of people who cannot afford representation.
Ms. Ali has significant experience helping clients navigate difficult real estate cases as well as advising them on the tax implications of real property transactions. She combines her experiences as a litigator with her in depth knowledge of the tax code and real estate law to provide excellent results for her clients and her firm.
In addition to her real estate and tax practice, Ms. Ali has settled multiple employment discrimination cases for ten of thousands of dollars.
Mr. White graduated from the David A Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia. While attending law school, he lead numerous student organizations and competed in a nationwide mock trial competition.
He now specializes in civil litigation and public policy. He has worked in the civil division at the D.C. Office of the Attorney General and he has represented indigent clients in D.C. Superior Court and the U.S. Federal Tax Court.
He has also been an advocate for reducing the disproportionate contact rate of minorities with social justice systems, particularly foster care and juvenile delinquency systems.
In addition to the fields of law described above, Mr. White is now actively engaged in resolving legal disputes surrounding business compliance, real estate transfers, and employment discrimination.
Mr. White is barred in Maryland.
Mr. White is a father of two and lives with his wife in Washington DC
Mr. Coleman is currently attending Georgetown University Law Center and received a BA in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University.
He has worked for the DC Public Defender Service as an investigator where he handled all of the investigation and trial support for two trial attorneys.
He also worked for Pepper Hamilton LLP as a real estate and finance paralegal where he handled large commercial and residential real estate transactions.
He has experience in a wide range of fields including, criminal, real estate, tax, corporate and civil litigation.
