Should be called Bad Mojo. We stopped the car in the alley by the store to avoid getting lost and to figure out what we were going to do nearby -- including visit this shop. It's a fire lane, so we knew we couldn't park. Even before I stopped the car, the owner was coming toward us aggressively. Then he threatened to write down the license plate and call the police! He could have kindly asked us to move, but he didn't. Even my kid couldn't believe it. We will never go there. There is a bakery nearby, a great little salon and a froyo/boba place across the street -- kind people. I suggest: Stay away if you want a slice of Paradise.
Very cute store with a lot of unique items, some are priced kind of high and it's packed to the brim, but definitely worth stopping in! I found something that even my fiance liked at a price he was shocked by in a good way. If you like antiques, tikis, carved boxes, or knick knacks, check them out! I will be back every so often to see what they have
Very weird vibe. She had the most disgusted looked on her face when I came around the corner. And asked what i was looking for and preceded to usher me out of the door as she handed me a card and told me people can only shop by appointment. I threw the card on the ground by the door. Just rude. Also there are no signs anywhere to say by appointment only. But there is a two huge open signs lit up by the door.
My friends and I were strolling Kailua and decided “Why not?” when we saw this antique store. We walked in and we were greeted which seemed pretty normal. The lady had asked if we were “visitors” and we said we were just looking around. She proceeded to pretty much badger us with questions. She asked if we were doing a play or something and we said no and that we were just looking. She abruptly said that it was appointment only and that’s why she was asking. When really she didn’t ask any relevant question to bring appointment only. She should have asked at the beginning if we had an appointment instead of letting us get fully into the store. I was actually interested in purchasing some things, but she definitely lost business today.
We attempted to shop there on a Saturday since the "Open" signs were on and the doors were open and all. Apparently they only are open for appointments. At least that's what the rude woman told us as she glared over her glasses at us. She was in some sort of deep conversation with a gentleman and neither looked pleased we interrupted them in an attempt to examine and buy her wares. We didn't linger, but I was able to glance at the set up as we left. Items are extremely disorganized and seemed kind of piled up on themselves. There was barely a foot path around most of it. Nothing I saw wowed me into thinking there was anything of value that required a private appointment to see. It struck me more as a place that was lucky to get business. It was very dark and dusty inside.
Great little shop packed floor to ceiling with lots of cool stuff. Especially loved the Hawaii related books, Tikis, Aloha shirts and Hawaiian Kia bowls
Service was horrible. Very cluttered. Would not recommend going.
Is there a yoga studio nearby?
Great antiques and service.
