This pool and fitness center has been a mainstay of this PG County neighborhood for over 50 years. It is a clean and professionally run recreation facility that has a wide variety of activities and classes for all ages. Come get in shape, make some new friends, and have some fun!

Very nice facility. Indoor and outdoor pool. Has a gym and a lounge with guest wifi. Also has tennis courts. State owned and run. Discount admission for Prince George's and Montgomery County residents.

Went for lap swimming and they only have 2 lanes open with 3 to 4 persons in a lane. Very difficult to swim

I signed my baby up for an infant swim class.  The instructor, Brittany, was great.  There were no issues with the class.   The staff and patrons are very friendly.  The manager of the whole building is knowingly or unknowingly a little gruff.  She explained rules on everyone's first day and it felt as if she was going through the motions, trying to get somewhere else and/or slightly annoyed.  I also saw her have a negative interaction with a patron at the splash park outside.  She, for reasons unknown to me, asked a man if he had alcohol in his cooler as he was exiting the park with his children.  Everyone else was exiting as well because there was a thunderstorm.  He became upset and was offended.  I think if she had a better bedside manner it would have went a long way towards de-escalating the situation.  He was leaving and did not appear to be inebriated, so I am unsure the point of the fly by accusation.  Anyway, he resorted to using a few expletives and she decided to call park police who is nearby.  I was pulling off as park police arrived.  So, I am unsure of the final outcome.  The kiddie pool was out of order which was a let down.  Also, life guards at the splash park are overzealous in their administering of the pool rules and a select few were immature.  They seemed more interested in flirting with one another and conversing rather than doing their job.  All other lifeguards were pleasant and helpful.
