Unfortunately the problem is not the Dr. she is an extraordinary human being that cares about her patient’s need. I happen to love her very much. But Noelia the receptionist is very rude. I’ve been on the medical field for 31 yrs and never treated a patient the way she does:. That receptionist is very disrespectful by not greeting the patients with a smile and welcoming attitude. It looks like she wishes no one came to the office. When a pt goes to a Dr. the first impression is the one that counts. I am a pt that’s afraid to go to doctors, thank God I’m pretty healthy but wanted to go for a physical, but was afraid. I called the office a wk ago to make an appointment, she gave me the appointment without asking me for the insurance, when I Come walked to the counter, I looked a her and said my name and that i had a 4pm appointment. She is so rude, did not look at me to greet me at all, just said sign there, so I did and seat down after she made me wait to hen asked me if I had a different insurance I said yes and gave it to her. After checking she says to me unfortunately we don’t accept your insurance if you want to be seen you must pay. Honestly I wouldn’t had mind paying, but her attitude was so nasty that I felt so disrespected. Sad because Alma is a great Dr. but i can’t take the poor treatment of her receptionist.

She treated my husband in such an excellent way ! She takes her time . We liked her so much I took my mother in law. She loves her too!! Thank you for being so wonderful. Also, if u don't have insurance don't worry consultation will be 50 bucks not 250 like other places !! She is an excellent doctor.

I have been going to Dr alma for over 5 years. I have never had a doctor like her. She is patient, understanding and completely giving of herself to me and other people that I have referred to her. Suffering from a chronic condition she makes me feel like I am a priority. Just writing this makes me choke up because she literally saved my life and my marriage. God bless you Dr Alma

Found Dr. Mesquita for my husband for peace of mind on his anxiety Dr. Mesquita did all the tests when we went to follow up she was very informative, i loved her bedside manner. I ended up making and appointment for myself, and again she was great, gave me all result and some great conversation on my health. I also recommended my mom who has nothing but great things to say. Im sad that she doesnt take Healthfirst anymore but i will definetely change my insurance to go back to Dr Mequita soon!

I was recommended to Dr. Alma from a friend, I made an appointment I found the receptionist to be very pleasant. I did not wait very long to see the Doctor. When the Doctor came in she was very thorough asked questions about me & my specific medical history. Dr. Alma listened to my needs & wants. I found it to be a nice experience. Hi I'm writing this review beacuse I saw most of the reviews and what I saw some of them were very rude and I didn't like what I saw at all First of all nothing is free at America !! I've been seeing dr. Mesquita since 2017 and all I have to say is that she treats her patients like her family she so respectful and very correct on her job I was there last year I had an infection and after she gave me a pill it worked less than an hour if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here writing She saved my life She also saved a lady's life she came in couldn't breath beacuse she had an allergic reaction As soon as she saw her she acted immediately made her vomit her juice so she could breath gave her morphine and called 911 And even though I didn't have appointment sometimes I didn't wait too much It's obvious when you walk in you have to wait Words can't be enough what I have to say for her She's simply the best doctor I have ever seen She's a rock star

Good experiences - is very thorough with her tests and concerns, very well connected to other doctors and can get you in on referrals to see specialists quite quickly, even when they are "booked full." Very responsive to when I call in and have a need for prescriptions.

I had my first appointment yesterday. I went for a physical and a vaccine that I need it. First of all the Dwarf girl “the secretary” is a totally nasty person who has no manners and no patience. I passed her my phone so she can spoke to my insurance regarding the coverage of the vaccine which it does covers the vaccine by the medical benefit. That midget got irritated for no reason and went to the back to speak to the nurse practitioner and told her that I was there once again and didn’t want to leave.. so disrespectful saying that In front of a patient. They didn’t do me the favor to just order the vaccine which obviously the insurance is going to pay them is not like is going to be free, they just seem like they don’t care about the patient they just want money cause they do have the vaccine in their office and they charge $100. Very very bad experience. I wouldn’t even put 1 star..

Wow. Just wow. I don’t know why I didn’t check Yelp but for something as simple as vaccine I thought it would be no biggie. I called yesterday to make the appointment and told them what I’d need. No problem, the receptionist said. Then, I come today and am made to wait almost a full hour for what should have been an easy in and out thing. Fine. Fair enough, I wouldn’t want other patients to jump me in line so I waited. Then, I get in the room, wait a few more minutes because what’s a few more at that point only to have the receptionist come back in and say that she’s sorry but they actually don’t have the vaccine, but I could come back tomorrow. Um no. Thanks anyway, you suck.

The review is based on the following. The receptionist was highly detached both before and after the appointment. I attempted to provide an update of my medical health including the the recent status of my blood work. I have several medical diagnosis including Diabetes and GERDS. She appeared to have her own agenda by immediately focusing on my weight. I attempted to address the efforts regarding my food plan. The key factor of my assessment includes the following in that she did not return any of my telephone calls regarding an error she made in the dosage of my medication which was sent to my local Pharmacist. If did not procure the assistance of another physician, I would have been forced to go to the ER to correct her error. I felt she devalued my knowledge of my medical issues and all efforts I made to address them. This was a horrific experience and I would never return on under any condition.UPDATE Upon reading your response NP Mesquita, I submit the following information. The basis of your response is your assertation that you have no record of me being there. Moreover, based on your "record keepng" my entire review is false. I stand by my review in its entirety. I do not have to scan a receipt or copy my billed medical insurance in order to post a review.
