Super nice and Knowledgeable! Helped me get my kegerator tubing replaced and provided hands on fitting install guidance!
Friendly folks, lots of brewing supplies. Best local place to get root shoot grains. Have not tried their beer but very happy to have a brew supply so close.
Awesome place to get all of the home brewing ingredients and tools you would ever need. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
I'm so bad with names but Dave? or Dan?, was helpful in selecting a yeast to make cider and good to chat with. Looking forward to going back in the future for my home brew needs.
Must stop shop for all the home brewers and beer aficionados out there. The supplies were stocked and the beer was flowing cold. I enjoyed the lager on draft and the Warden loved the IPA. Small seating area but a cool spot forsure!
These guys are amazing! I came to them for a special event idea and they were able to decipher my idea to create something neat! Through their trepidation, I convinced them to drill into a brand new Yeti cooler to build a jockey box. Not only can that box serve, it can also be used on the backside of faucets they installed on our truck. In the end, Steve and Curt rolled with the punches to finish my project two weeks before the event. I cannot wait to use them again as their professionalism is inspiring.
Real talk. I've been a homebrewer for 14 years. Not as long as some but long enough to know what I'm doing and long enough to have gone to the vast majority of homebrew shops in the Denver metro area. I've got one other I like but Altitude is by far my favorite. The guy who owns the place is super nice and amazingly accommodating. I came in with my buddies and we made 12 gallons of cider out of about 250 lbs of apples. The owner helped us set up and gave us everything we needed throughout our cider making session. Which was like 5 hours btw We had an excellent time and even though several other brew shops are closer to my home, I will definitely be frequenting Altitude. Oh, and the location is fricken phenomenal. There are numerous professional breweries nearby and Altitude's storefront is in an old warehouse that has a very cool vibe. Beats the heck out of generic suburban strip malls.
Altitude Brewery is a wonderful, small place to drop in and have a beer if you are in the area. My wife discovered this place while driving by one day, so we decided to give it a try. It's easy to find right off 46th Street at Pecos. This place started out as a one stop shop for home brewers. I don't know much about making beer, but they seem to have everything one would need to do that. We are more into enjoying the beer, but it's interesting to learn more about the process. This place has been around for several years, but they just recently opened the brewery. They have a nice selection of tap beers, with a few available in cans. On this visit, my wife tried the IPA and I tried the Mexican Lager. The lager was smooth and refreshing. The place is small with a friendly feeling. Cooper, the black lab was friendly and entertaining too! On our visit, there were about a dozen people there. Our chat with Dave, I think it was Dave was very nice. We were just in there for a quick little taster, but he talked to us about the beers and a little about the home brewer process. I would have tried their Belgian beer if they weren't out of it, but he said they would have a Belgian double the next weekend. He also gave us a taste of an Irish stout which I thought had a really good flavor. Not all the beers are theirs, but they are happy to answer any questions. This place was a wonderful find that I know we will be back to.
Stopped in today to get a recipe they had put together on their website. I'm used to ingredient kits especially extract ones to be pre-packaged. Altitude instead puts them together from their stock. It was a cool experience helping Dan this morning weighing and milling the grains for my kit. If you ever wanted to slightly tweak the ingredients in your recipe to your liking this would be a great place to do so as they have grains from all over the world and locally too. They had everything I needed and had a bunch of great advice as well! They also have a good rewards program from the sounds of it and host a homebrew club and other events!
Went in for a bag of Great Western 2-row...they didn't have it and sold me a bag of Root Shoot for the same price. Hard to beat that.
