For our first foray into rental property ownership, we chose a company that seemed capable of guiding us through the nuances of being landlords. Initially, prior to signing the contract, their communication was excellent. However, once the contract was signed, their responsiveness diminished significantly. We had expected that they would advocate more on our behalf, especially in matters involving repairs, but this was not the case. Despite several instances where damage was clearly caused by tenant negligence—such as a tenant inserting a plastic object into a brand-new toilet—they consistently failed to hold the tenants accountable. Disillusioned by these experiences, we decided that being landlords was not suitable for us and chose to sell the property. We provided a six-week notice to terminate the contract and requested that it only be extended until the tenants vacated. Although the property management reached out to the tenants to gauge their interest in purchasing the property, the offer did not meet our expectations. Subsequently, despite our clear communication regarding contract termination, the company insisted on a written confirmation, which we had already provided. They then attempted to impose a $495 early termination fee, which we contested. After some back-and-forth, the finance department acknowledged the receipt of our prior notice and agreed to waive the fee. However, they later justified retaining $200 of the fee due to "work done." Upon repossessing our house last week, we discovered unaddressed damages such as holes in the drywall from TV mounts and a lack of proper cleaning by the property management team. My advice to potential clients is to steer clear of this company—they will likely disappoint you.
Our HOA hired this management co a few years ago. Trish is dismissive and doesn’t care about the community unless it’s revenue related. IE a neighbor & good friend of mine asking her to kindly email neighbors about a prowler to keep their eyes open. A strange man snooping in a carport at 3am was fine by her, but blasts out an email to the community when someone was in the laundry room. You can’t pick/choose what to share but she does based on what she feels is right/wrong. At least establish a message board in the portal so neighbors can share important information.
If you have dogs, I do not recommend moving into Olive Square condos @ 7040 W. Olive Ave. AMCOR hoa/ property management is not pet friendly at all. They will cite you violations for having your dogs out on the patio for 10 minutes. Do not move here if you have pets!! please save yourself the frustration.
Terrible. This property management company is extremely unprofessional from the top down. As a board member the manager has been rude and dismissive toward board members with a complete lack of communication on important community issues. They act like they are in charge and can do whatever they want in the community, without board members approval/vote. Stay far away if you want a well run community, this company is one of the worst.
This company took over my association. Impossible to get a hold of. Called dozens of times between their business hours and have never reached a single person. They keep sending bills even though I'm supposed to be paperless and I'm on autopay yet they keep screwing up and saying I'm late for my dues. One of the most inept companies I have ever come across.
Within a week of becoming new owners of a condominium owned by AMCOR we find the HOA is looking to start trouble. Robert Kersten is in no way customer-service focused and instead will seek to shoot first and ask questions later. Would not recommend. We will be voting for a new property management company upon joining the board.
As a new homeowner, I was immediately tacked with fines by this company right as I moved in. I didn't even get a chance to settle into my home before they began to hit me with fee's even tried to fine me for a fee immediately after I bought the home for something the previous owners installed. This HOA is a disgrace that is about making money not building a community and looking out for its residences.
Amcor had been looking after my rental property for 14 years. 5 stars
The best HOA management firms in the valley! When you work with Robin and her team you will be delighted with their communication, level of expertise and delivering exceptional results. I had the pleasure of working with them while I was the President of our HOA at Canyon Crest in Scottsdale. All other firms pale in comparison, do not even waste your time looking around.
I misplaced or lost my mailbox key and wasn't sure who to call, the property manager or the postal service. So I called AMCOR who manages our neighborhood and spoke with Jill who quickly scheduled Ron to come out and replace the lock which he did the next day at no charge to me. It was quick and painless and I got a brand new lock which works perfectly. Much appreciated!
