First time sailing and I loved it. My husband told me alot of the different locations. Captain Tom and his crew member Tom, were great. They were very helpful and took some of my pictures. My family would like to go next time. Looking forward to going again.
The perfect ending to my 40th birthday celebrations in Baltimore after indulging at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. I was trying to find something else to do in Baltimore that I hadn't done before since we were coming from Virginia and I found this online when I was planning months ago. We did the Moonlight Sail on the "Summer Wind," and I also love the name of the boat. My first time on a real sailboat. Tom and Tom were very chill and it was such a peaceful, relaxing sailboat ride around the Inner Harbor. We passed a few other bigger more commercialized boat tours and I was like, our boat's better than yours haha. I highly recommend American Sailing Tours! Wonderful night with friends! Oh and I liked the music they played on the boat too, especially the Hawaiian songs.
Very relaxing, enjoyable experience. Intimate cruise, total of 8 which includes the captain and his crew. They were both friendly and informative when asked a question. The only negative was not getting to see Ft. McHenry which was one of the reasons we selected this cruise due to the lack of cooperating winds.
I booked a Saturday sunset sale for my husband‘s birthday. On the morning of we had an unexpected emergency but Tom was willing to work with us. He rescheduled us for Monday without any hesitation. The tour was gorgeous and peaceful. The guides were friendly and informative. They gladly took pictures of us with the beautiful sunset. It was just a really nice experience overall. We definitely recommend it and we would absolutely do it again.
This was a very enjoyable first time in Baltimore tour for me and I loved every minute of it. We had a nice day. The Captain Tom narrated well and the rest of the crew was awesome and professional. I felt safe and like a valued passenger. I would recommended this to anyone who loves boat rides. I liked the fact that there were only five of us.
My husband and I, together with my daughter who has recently moved to Baltimore, so enjoyed the history tour and found ourselves referring back to Captain Tom's talk on numerous occasions throughout the remainder of our visit. It's a great way to appreciate/understand the city from, quite literally, another vantage point. We especially liked sailing on a boat meant for six guests rather than touring on a large, crowded motor boat. Five stars plus.
My family and I sailed with Tom and his crewman on the Summer Wind and had an incredible time. It was definitely the highlight of our time in Baltimore. They were so knowledgeable about the area and gave us the inside scoop on the Inner Harbor. We also learned a lot about sailing and had a great time hearing about their boating adventures. We will absolutely sail with them again when we’re in Baltimore. We absolutely recommend them!!
I absolutely loved this sailing tour! The crew was friendly and charismatic. They were more than happy to take photographs of us with the gorgeous view. The boat was charming and more comfortable than I originally thought it would be. I couldn't recommend it more!
We had a totally great, educative and relaxing experience with the History Sail on Summer Wind tour. Captain Tom and his team made us feel welcome and shared a lot of little known facts about the Chesapeak Bay history since the seventeenth century and until now. My teen daughter said it was "the best birthday gift ever!" And I can't argue with her. Thumbs up, and thank you Tom & Tom! Definitely coming back for a romantic sunset tour with my husband later this summer.
We had a great time this morning with Capt Tom and his handy deckhand, sailing on the Summer Wind and listening to fun stories about Baltimore history . So glad we signed up for it. Easy to find with handy parking, as described. A sunset or moonlight sail would be lovely too, as there are tremendous views of the ships in the harbor and skyline on the trip.
