Love this insurance company, they have gone above and beyond to help me get my car back after there was a ton of damage done to it. I cannot express how helpful they have been throughout this month long process. Every single person I spoke with was helpful and knowledgeable. HIGHLY recommend this company. This is also not the first claim I've had with them and they were just as wonderful the first time as they were the second.

Based on "independent reviews," we decided to go with Amica for our first home insurance. Initially they were very helpful and responsive, giving us a quick and reasonable quote. We told them repeatedly that our home was going to undergo vast renovations quickly upon closing, which they said would be fine, they would just have to come out and evaluate the work. We provide them with our home inspection, which outlined all of the things we already told them we would be fixing and they already said would be fine, and they denied us based on the condition of the house. It would have been fine if they had indicated that was a possibility up front, but they insisted it wouldn't be. They seemed very insincere about their contradictory information. Very disappointing.

If I could leave a negative review I would. THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER USED. I already got new insurance through a different provider because of how AWFUL this company handled my claim. I get hit head on and somehow I OWE MONEY. The company of the girl that hit me handled my claim better than they did. Meanwhile my own insurance ignores me for 2 weeks, never told me my car had been looked at and was transitioned to total loss claim or that I had to remove all my items from it in before a certain date and then I get a bill in the mail for medical claims they're supposed to cover and it takes them OVER A MONTH to send my money for my total loss claim. Now almost two months later Enterprise calls me and tells me that they also stopped paying for my rental car before I ever HAD THE MONEY TO GET A NEW CAR so I owe $250 more dollars to enterprise. I literally CANNOT believe how terrible this company has treated me (someone who by the way had FULL COVERAGE auto insurance). Do yourself a favor and drop them if you have them and never sign on with them. Also side note they also sent my money to the wrong address so it took almost an additional week for it to finally get to me so they're also incredibly irresponsible.

they used to be a great company-i had been with them 20 years and they had my umbrella, boat, car and homeowners. I fired them today, I finally had a claim that I was not at fault and their claim service was horrible. Amica was my biggest monthly personal expenditure. I switched to USAA and saved a great deal and they are ranked number one for customer service

Great for 1995, but in these decade, look elsewhere.
I'd had them for over 16 years, and had several claims with them (all not my fault), all went smoothy.
Then I had a mailing address problem: I was not getting my Bill. Even though they had my cell phone number and email address, they made no effort to reach out to me. They just sent me a bunch of paper in the mail, which I eventually got when the registry revoked my registration.
Long story short I needed to re-register the car and do a bunch of other stuff, but they also more than doubled my rate because I didn't have insurance in the last six months. They were not very understanding about any of it, and seemed blind to the point about the lack of technology in their customer service.
Now I'm with GEICO and, magically, that never happens. They get automatic payments and email me with updates. They also have a similar or better rate to boot.
