Terrible experience. The smooth jazz/r&b music and their cornbread was great but that is all. Would love to support this black-owned establishment but unfortunately I can not. There's so much more wrong with this place that I'd rather not post. We ended up leaving without even being fed. They've got to do much better.
A most delicious experience! I really felt as though I was in New Orleans! Kind service, good vibes, robust dishes and melt-in-your-mouth cornbread. Bravo to all bands and hearts involved in the creation of that meal! I will be back.
What a find this was! I don't know why people don't talk about this place more, but perhaps also glad as it's small and I would never get in again. BYO was fantastic. All meals were superb and generously portioned. Corn bread was so good we ordered more. Staff so kind and friendly. Will definitely be back.
Best gumbo I've ever had!! Small cute place with friendly staff and very nice owner!! Highly recommend going here for dinner. Also, you will wabt extra of the cornbread. I wish I could buy a tray of it to take home!!
The food was BEYOND awesome! ...the best I've ever had in the New Haven area....and the staff was warm and friendly as well. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have tried this place. It's NYC quality right here in New Haven. I can't wait to go back!!
