ANa Elena | Photography

I'd never worked with a documentary style photographer before, but Ana Elena put us at ease from the moment she arrived at our home. Rather than having us pose and smile, she simply became our shadow for the day, following us from task to task, from playing in the playroom to running around the park after our toddler. Some of my favorite moments from the shoot weren't even big important events, or even featuring all three of us; they were the little moments. Hands touching while feeding a meal to my child, pausing to laugh while cooking dinner, our toddler crawling all over us on the floor. These are the things I want to remember, and no other photographer has managed to capture them before. What great photos to have! I will definitely keep Ana Elena in mind for future and would highly recommend her to capture your own simple everyday family memories.

From start to finish we had a great experience with Ana Elena, she really took time to get to know us and it was so helpful to meet before the day to discuss how everything would work. She immediately put us all at ease when she arrived and we were soon able to relax. She really captured some beautiful moments and I’m really happy we decided to try this style of photography.

We had a blast with ANa doing a day in the life family photo shoot at our house. I normally feel awkward doing photo shoots, but her style is different--less formal and posed, and more candid and informal. She made us all feel at ease and very comfortable throughout the shoot. We went about our daily routines while she snapped pictures, capturing all the little candid moments with our 5 month old son. After, for our photo reveal, ANa came over and showed us a slideshow she put together, telling a story of our morning. We loved the style of her photos and how she told a story with the pictures. We also really enjoyed getting to know and work with ANa. She is so personable, understanding and friendly and was so easy to talk to! Thank yiu ANa for a great experience and beautiful photos and memories!

Ana spent 2 hours with our family and captured some amazing memories. My kids usually look awkward in family pictures as they haven’t quite mastered their fake smiles. By simply photographing us while we went on with our normal activities, Ana was able to capture the essence of our love and joy, and we’ll cherish these memories forever.
