Wow, can’t believe how much this place changed. Great food, great people, great experience.
I came into the restaurant with my daughter it was empty and the man was on the phone taking an order. We waited patiently decided what we wanted and the cook ignored us and kept cooking. Figured he was just too busy filling orders so we just waited. A man came into the restaurant and instantly the cook acknowledged the man and asked if he had already placed an order or not! I was shocked because me and my daughter had been standing at the counter for at least 7 minutes and he didn't say a word to us at all. No may I help you no wait a minute! Nothing at all, but as soon as the man of another race came in he instantly acknowledged him and was going to service him. I told my daughter let's go and we left. RACIST ESTABLISHMENT!!
In terms of the subs, they definitely got the best ones in the area. Customer care can be much better by adding additional staff. For example, if you are on the line for 5 min to order, and at the same time someone calls to order, they will take the phone order first, regardless of the time you are waiting. Also most of the time there are not any napkins, salts or sauces on the tables. Another point is, this restaurant usually charges dine-in customers after they finish their food. Since this is an unusual pattern in the states, it might make confusion and some people leave by mistake without paying.
The food was amazing!! Everything is freshly made, The staff was very welcoming and professional. The chicken sub is a must try and the cocktail is phenomenal
Scorecard: C We love coming to Ananas in Dearborn Heights. We came to this location at night and we were not happy with the food; the sub was dry I asked for extra mayo, chicken tasted old odor chicken . The customer service was very good. I wish the quality of the food is as good as in Dearborn Heights.
Placed an order online worth of $45 and they took our money and place was not even open. Tried calling and no one picks up. Seems shady and fraud. No way to get out money back. Avoid if you can getting scam!
Recently: This place is not the same anymore. We got a hamburger, chicken sub, and cheese steak sub. They were mediocre at best. Several years ago: Food is great, but customer service is severely lacking. I really like the chicken sub, and the cheese burger. But what's up with the salt and pepper shakers always sticky? Looks like they rely on delivery and takeout, not paying any attention to dine-in customer service. We've had our orders mixed up several times. I haven't seen improvement in customer service yet. Rated A for consistently good tasting food, and bad customer service!

When people arrive and see a line and are willing to wait for food you know its definitely good food. Loved my sub!
I used to come and eat here all the time but stopped going. First reason was the employee that is always running the place is the most rude person I ever dealt with in a sub shop. He totally will not even greet you or even say hello . And always gives me dirty looks as if he hates his job! I also noticed how bad the food had gotten especially because of that one employee not making the subs fresh or the way it's supposed to be made not too mention the other employees that make the food never make it right and always have a attitude. I'll take my buissness somewhere they appreciate me and where the food is fresh and made to order!
