AWWU FACEBOOK USER POLICY
Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility Facebook page is managed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition to relevant content and educational information, this page is used to release outage-related information to the public. The page is monitored during outages, including off-hours, but posts may not receive an immediate response. This page is not an outage reporting tool. To report a water outage or outage-related information, please call 564-2700 so that the Utility can address the issue promptly.

The Utility encourages respectful engagement through relevant discussion, questions, and criticism, but reserves the right to remove any post or ban anyone who violates these guidelines at our sole discretion. Examples of posts in these categories include:

- Comments not topically related to the particular social medium article or post being commented upon.
- The use of obscene, threatening, or harassing language.
- Personal attacks of any kind or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, age, or religious group, gender, sexual orientation or disability status.
- Sexual content or links to sexual content.
- Comments promoting or opposing any person campaigning for election to a political office.
- Promotions or advertisements of a business or commercial transaction.
- Comments promoting illegal activity or posting of material that violates copyrights or trademarks of others.
- Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.
