Authentic home made chocolates. This is the best value for some of the best tasting dark chocolates and milk chocolate. There is a very loyal fan base for their products and now I am one of them. I made a special trip just to satisfy my chocolate craving and it was worth it!

Katie, it's not my job to tell you what's fresh in your pantry. I also just saw a YouTube video of people making candy at your store - none were wearing gloves while handling the fruits and chocolate.I believe there are health regulations and protocol for handling food for sale...? For me, good customer service is important. Drove 50 miles today to pick up some easter candy for friends and family. Everything was prepackaged into small plastic bags, including the chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. As I was getting a selection of many different candies for various people which they were going to send, I did not want to send an entire dozen eggs to one person and asked if she would split that and put half in another bag intended for the other shipment. She said no. Just a flat out "no". Hmmm. That's going the extra mile to help out a customer! I then explained, thinking she didn't understand but she did and she again said no. I was with another who was in the midst of a large purchase with another salesperson (totaling $150) so I didn't walk out. Instead, I went along and purchased about $60 in candy, far less than I had planned. I regret the purchase. It wasn't good, or fresh, and I will never return or support these people. Fanny May is far better! My family has gone to Anderson's for decades, but it's one tradition I will gladly give up. Sometimes the 2nd and 3rd generations of businesses don't get what was required of their parents and grandparents to build the business. It's not hard... a simple smile, a kind hello, and maybe an extra minute to split up a bag of chocolate marshmallows for a customer who's buying the whole bag but just wants to split up between recipients. I guess it explains why they're pushing online coupons. I see the owner is concerned about people's experiences by his comments after others' reviews (and his own 5-star rating). Or maybe he's just concerned with his online reviews -- either way, I am surprised he has such nasty, unprofessional women representing his brand.

This place is quality! Leif, I just finished the peanut butter candy bar, and am I beyond satisfied. Thank you again.

Tasty candies and and confections in a charming little shop. Anderson's candy store holds as much history as any business in Richmond. My wife and I stopped in on a bitterly cold December day, and were helped by two curteous employees. I was disappointed to see how high the prices had gotten since I last visited in 2013. Overall, I didn't feel that what I got was worth what I paid. It's sad to encounter small businesses that have prices so high, that I can't afford to endulge. :(
