Story

Andy Ryan is a photographer specializing in Architecture, Commercial Spaces, Interiors, Exteriors and Landscapes. Born and based in New York, Andy is inspired by the architecture of New York City and the evolving landscapes of the Hudson Valley.

Before pursuing photography full time, Andy spent 13 years living in California, working in marketing for action sport and lifestyle brands, all the while taking photos at events, of friends, and throughout his worldwide travels (in search of great surf). He returned to New York in 2015, ready for a change, and began photographing houses for a local home builder. Andy fell in love with capturing details, lines and light, and has been shooting architectural photography ever since.

When photographing interiors, Andy pays careful attention to the character of a room as a whole as well as the nuanced design choices. Using both natural light and artificial light, Andy works to create beautiful photographs that honestly represent the space. When photographing home and commercial building exteriors, Andy captures the structure as subject while also creating a sense of place.

Andy Ryan serves the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) and all of New England.
