Lindsay is the greatest - she has an amazing combination of professionalism, caring, knowledge and advocacy. I hired her to guide me through the process with the birth of my son and nutritional counseling following and I cannot express how highly I think of her - she was a true light in the process and such a perfect blend of education, instruction and support.

Lindsey was an absolute angel sent to me in a time of need! When I brought home my new little girl from the hospital I had so much trouble figuring out how to breastfeed this little baby. I remember trying to call about 6 different lactation consultants and no one would help me. Finally I found Lindsey and when i called her she came over to my house the next day and that started a wonderful relationship with her I am so thankful for. A year later, I am still breastfeeding and I truly owe it all to her. She took the anxiety out of it, was able to answer any questions I had at any time (and there were many) and made it feel like a wonderful journey I was on with my new little girl. She truly is a blessing. If you need a lactation consultant, I highly recommend Angel Food Lactation & Nutrition.

Words cannot express how grateful I am that my husband found Lindsey at 3am in a google search our first night home from the hospital. We had some breastfeeding issues in the beginning, some that Lindsey helped fix from our very first home visit, to some that took a little while longer. But with her constant support and advice, we overcame all issues and are happily, exclusively breastfeeding. I know while we now have the mechanics of breastfeeding down, our journey with Lindsey isn't over as she offers many classes such an intro to solids class and holds a support group, which is a great way to meet other moms and bounce concerns and issues off of each other. Lindsey is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. I cannot recommend her services enough!

I am thrilled and forever grateful that a friend referred us to Lindsey Hurd of Angel Food Lactation & Nutrition, LLC. We initially took her breast-feeding class while I was pregnant, which my husband & I both found to be extremely beneficial. Since our daughter was born we’ve worked with Lindsey on several occasions for breast-feeding issues and questions. She was enormously helpful, kind and reassuring. We were able to figure out how to make things work for us as a family thanks to Lindsey’s knowledge, experience and willingness to work with our personal goals. The Wilmington community is extremely fortunate to have Lindsey as a resource. She has made the awesome, but not always easy, journey of breast-feeding manageable and rewarding for our family!

If you are in Wilmington and are pregnant or have babies, you absolutely should take advantage of the tremendous resource we have in Angel Food Lactation and Nutrition. Lindsey was my lactation consultant and my doula. I also took her breastfeeding class when pregnant. She is absolutely amazing. She spends up to 2 hours at home visits, which really makes her prices cheap! She is always available via email, phone, or text. My baby and I had major problems breastfeeding from day one. I couldn't provide for my little one and I was a wreck because of it. But Lindsey was there for me every step of the way for a month of up and down struggles. She checked in on me everyday! She was available for me to freak out to and celebrate with. Not only does she bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the table, but she kept me going emotionally by encouraging me at every turn. Pediatrician offices know her and refer patients to her. She works with the lactation staff at the hospital. I really don't think my baby and I would be full time breastfeeding now with no problems, if it wasn't for her. Additionally, having her as our doula was one of the best decisions we made during pregnancy. She obviously has all the knowledge needed to do the job well. She made excellent suggestions during labor to help me cope with the pain and exhaustion. She has the perfect personality to work with many different families and couples. Her, my husband, and I felt like a perfect team. It was so nice having her there, when my husband needed to step out. I felt so supported and cared for. Lindsey also teaches several classes about breastfeeding, switching to solids, and oh so much more. Go to her website for a full list. The Wilmington birthing and baby raising community is lucky to have Angel Food Lactation and Nutrition here!
