Outstanding food...they give you a lot of food without the hefty price.
I AM A NEW CUSTOMER; ORDERED FOOD 12.17.22 AND 12.18.22; GEORGIA AVENUE LOCATION. BUT ON 12.18.22 WAS UNACCEPTABLE, TO SAY THE LEAST.... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS FEMALE MANAGER HUNG UP ON ME TWICE AS I TRIED TO EXPLAIN, BECAUSE DOORDASH DELIVERY WAS LEFT ON THE GROUND IN THIS COVID-19 & NO ONE CALLED; 90 MINUTES LATER. AND I SPENT $45 + $5 TIP. FOOD MAY BE PLEASANT BUT I PAY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE... AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE MONEY BACK. INSTEAD BELIEVING THE LYING DELIVERY PERSON WITHOUT ANY TANGIBLE PROOF. **PASS ON THIS PLACE. THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT.
Have been ordering from Angelico's for years, but this will be my last time, as an employee called my partner fat... seemingly in anger? Today we ordered 2 pizzas online, a cheese and a margherita. Two margheritas showed up at our door, and the crusts were slightly burnt, so my partner called to resolve it. The person who answered the phone said, I don't know what you want me to do, this isnt my problem, and was generally unhelpful. So my partner said, well, this has been useless, said goodbye, and ended the call. Not the kindest thing, perhaps, but technically accurate and borne of frustration. All of that would be fine, it is what it is, mistakes happen. But then the employee picked up the phone to *call my partner back* to say "well, you're fat." I honestly can't believe that really happened. When asked, the person said they were the manager, and then said, come down here, whatcha gonna do. I'm assuming it's a teenager, and not the manager, but calling back to call ancustomer fat is so petty and entirely... unnecessary? Thus, my last time ordering.
Takes very long when it comes to service. Call before you order if you don’t want your food to be cold. Smh
Our business has used Angelico's for years with both large and small orders, sometimes every week, but they will no longer be our go-to-place. We ordered a platter off their website, one we had ordered many times before. The person on the phone who identified herself as the owner not only gave us a price higher than the website for fewer sandwiches but argued with us that it had always been this way and not changed. Angelico's used to be great to work with. Now, the good taste of the food cannot take away the bad taste we feel at the customer service.
One star doesn't reflect the quality of the food. It merely reflects the service I received today. So, I've been ordering from Angelico's for about four years. When I call, I don't have to give my address because it's filed in the system with my number. I called today and it was pretty obvious that I was speaking to someone who didn't handle the phones regularly, but she was nice. When I gave my phone number, it was no longer filed in the system. Not sure what that was about. When I gave the address, her driver said that I was 3 miles away, putting me outside the delivery area. Their delivery radius is 2 miles and I live 1.9 miles away which is why I've received delivery service for 4+ years. I don't like the fact that the driver was too lazy to make this delivery and just blatantly lied to get out of doing so. I've been a loyal customer for years, but I'll have to find a new spot. Too bad - I liked the canoli.
Better than most mainstream chain pizza, for sure. When ordering something for delivery, make it a point to ask the staff on the phone how much the total price for the order is, including delivery fee. They've got a nasty habit of giving you the base price over the phone, then leaving it to the delivery guy to tell you the total cost of your order. It's almost impossible to predict, too, as the fees bounce around without notice. I've had an $11 pizza my usual cost anywhere from $13 to $19.
I ordered my favorite pizza -- garlic and eggplant. .... was so looking forward to it, and highly disappointed! I ate at the Wisconsin Ave store close to my office for years, and was so excited to find a franchise by my house. Prior orders had been better, but never as good as Wisconsin Ave. Will try one ore time before I switch places.
Mediocre pizza, TERRIBLE service, they do not know what they have on their menu. We visited family in Takoma Park and ordered two regular pizzas plus a gluten free pizza that is advertised on their site. The person who answered the phone did not know what gluten free was - and the restaurant ordered a large regular pizza in its place. When we called back to check on the pizza, they did not offer to rectify the problem - and still charged us for the large pizza we did not order. The gluten free pizza was for a family member with celiac, which could have been very dangerous had she eaten the pizza they claimed was gluten free. Our family will NEVER order from them again.
I've been ordering from this Angelico Pizza for about two years. Customer service and delivery service have both been great, and the food has always been absolutely delicious. If ever there is an issue with the food which is rare they have always handled it immediately.
