Best place to adopt a dog/pet ever. They have a lot of choices. The waiting process takes fur’ever. Got there at 11:47 am and I was at #11 when I checked-in and left the property at 3:50 pm after the processing was done but it’s all worth it when you get to bring home your pet. it took me 2 days for my toy Manchester terrier dog to get used to it to our place and now he is doing well. Lovely dog indeed. Thank you so much Animal Foundation.
We saw a dog on our street for about a week thought it was someone's dog. A week later it was pickup. They said she would be ready to go in 3 days. Then she was put on behavior watch or what ever. Dog was name Stacy on their site. Sunday June 12 2022 came they delist her. Talk to a couple that adopted dogs from they said most likely they put her down. I wish they would of gave her a chance. We would of sign waivers to get a chance to adopted her. Me and my wife saw the dog she was scared. We wanted her. But we end up rescuing another. We they gave her a chance. The dog show no sign of aggressive behavior. I myself been to prison and now have a second chance in life. Would love the same for the dogs. Going there makes you look at life different. Like being in prison. So sad seeing so many animals. The facility is clean, friendly staff wait is a little long but worth it. We adopted a 1yr old female pit bull.
This is a great place to adopt from. I found my little Gizmo here. It took a few visits though because the process is long. Like all day long. People line up even before the place opens. They take their time with each adoption. Only one dog can be viewed at a time, if you want to see another then you have to get back in line.
The staff is knowledgeable friendly and amazing the animals animals are well kept and Adapting Jasmine From them was the best thing I've done this year, She is an absolute joy, I believe the love and care that she was given after she was abandoned is the reason she's so amazing and and happy. She is also an amazing big sister to our Chihuahua Boo Boo.
Adopt don’t stop! Look at us, we just turned 5 month. It was a great time of fostering a tiny kitty and then keeping her forever. Don’t get me wrong, from the first minute we saw her it was obvious that she is our cat. However, the process is a bit different from what we think it would be. All animals have here are taken care and facility is overall nice and clean. Most of the staff people are absolutely great.
We just adopted 2 kittens from TAF. The kittens had been in foster care since they were 3 days old. We knew we were approved and just had to wait until they were old enough. The foster moms were so great at keeping us updated and sharing pictures. When we picked them up from their surgery the staff was very kind and they explained everything we needed to know. I highly recommend adopting over buying a pet. Not only are you saving the lives of the animal you bring into your family, you make space for another animal to be saved.
Had a situation that could affect anyone. We were able to find our cats! The supervisor Maria was amazing! Thank you for reuniting us!
Love this place. Everyone is so friendly, nice, and they were very knowledge. We adopted a kitten during COVID and the same day she was bought in, they made a last minute appointment to meet her. When we saw her, we decided we wanted her right away, so they let us take her home the next day and a week later we had an appointment to get her spayed. You can tell the employees really love their jobs and animals and will really do as much as they can to make it so that you can adopt a pet the same day... Even during an epidemic! Would absolutely adopt from here again.
This location of the animal foundation is horrible. I had all intentions of adopting, my daughter and I showed up not knowing how this location was operating. I ask the front desk recipients if they do a meet and greet with your own dog and she was so rude in explaining things to me and was quickly giving me papers and didn’t want to help me. It was my first time adopting and we had been over to the Henderson location and everyone there was awesome and helpful, so I expected the same. I didn’t even finish my search at the location because she was so rude that I was completely disappointed and left. Now I know why that facility is so over crowded, there staff and the process was way to extensive. We left and went back to the Henderson location, and was able to do a meet and greet with our dog and we left in a hour time with our new family member Sharpie 6 months old we are so Happy with our experience at the Henderson location. I will not recommend or refer anyone to this location. They need a better system!! And helpful, friendly staff!!
Employees are helpful WHEN you and IF you can get through the automated phone system. Don't think that if you JUST show up at the Animal Foundation that it'll be any easier. Expect to wait in a long line of animals and their parents, before you will be able to get assistance. If it had not been for the way that the staff treated me yes, I actually got through and was able to make an appointment and took care of my deceased, Wife's dog, in handling his cremation. I would have given a much lower start rating. However, they were kind and considerate in handling my care requests.
