Dr. Derek Matthews is just a phenomenal vet cardiologist. He takes his time to explain everything, lets you ask as many questions as needed, and does not rush out of the room. The entire staff has always been super friendly and helpful when I have called and I'm so grateful to have his team helping with my Charlotte. Thank you so much for your kindness!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My cat Fernando already sees Dr. Mathews for cardiology so when my home vet suggested he needed surgery for a urinary blockage, this place was a no brainer. Nando was immediately seen when we got there because of his urgent matter. We were greeted by Dr. Harris in a room where she kindly, and assertively told us what was going on with Nando. I immediately knew our guy was in good hands. She said “I’m very good at this.” And I trusted that. Dr. Mathews even came down and checked on us knowing how scared I was. His procedure thankfully went great, and I was updated immediately. I was also called that night, for an update on his status, and the next morning. They even allow visiting hours if your pet needs to stay multiple days. They were very transparent about pay, his care, and everything going on with him. He ended up needing surgery as well, the surgeon called right when he was done with an update. I’m so thankful for everyone there who saved my baby. If anythingplz no ever happens to Nando or any of our other cats we will be going here even though it’s an hour drive.

The staff and Doctors were amazing, clean atmosphere and felt very comfortable. The whole situation with our dog was not good, but they made us feel great and how we were going to take the next steps

A week ago I brought my puppy to this hospital, he was very sick throwing up blood. After evaluating him he was admitted for care. We visited him later that day and he hadn’t t responded to the care yet but I could see that everything was being done to help him. After 2 1/2 days we were able to bring him home. They provided medication for a week and With all that was done my puppy is 100% better. We are so happy with how he was treated and recommend this facility for pet care. A few weeks ago my husband and I brought our 17yr old Havanese ,Diesel to your location when he suddenly seemed to have a seizure or something. All of your staff from the front desk to the assistants to the doctor were incredibly compassionate and went above and beyond to assure us that our dog was comfortable and that the choice to help him to the other side was for the best. It was heartbreaking but we could not have expected such care. Thank for helping us in this difficult time.

Animal Medical & Surgical center is amazing & saved our dogs life. Our regular vet recommended we go there and it was impressive from beginning to end. The doctors were phenomenal and saved our sweet boy. They called me regularly with updates and to introduce themselves. He spent 3 nights there, 2 being in the ICU and they only sent him home when they knew he was ready. I wouldn't go to any other emergency hospital again. This facility, doctors and staff are above the rest in all aspects of care. Thank you!!

We went to Animal Medical & Surgical Center when referred by my primary vet, due to my dog, Rylee, having a spontaneous pneumothorax. He was my baby and the love of my life. Even though he did not make it, Animal Medical & Surgical Center did absolutely everything they could to save him and provide us with the most compassionate care possible. I was able to spend the majority of his time at the hospital by his side, so neither of us had to be alone. The quality of service and empathetic care provided to both of us was immeasurable. It was above, and beyond anything I could ever expect from a vet or physician of any kind. This is especially true when it came to the help we received from Tammy and Dr. Harris. Tammy went as far as trying to feed me dinner because she knew I had been there all day. Dr. Harris sat on the floor with Rylee and I while she clearly explained all of our options, provided great insight, and was beyond supportive when it came to helping us make the right decision for our boy. She provided constant updates and always checked in. Dr. Harris and Tammy were the silver lining to one of the worst weeks of my life and I will never forget them. All in all, this is without a doubt the place you want to bring your fur babies if you are ever in need of help.

The best of the best! All of the doctors and techs are definitely remarkable and truly caring. They were able to stabilize him and heal the infection in his eye until we got over to the surgeons office. Everyone from the first person you walk in to the veterinarian technicians are outstanding. As a rescuer, you won’t find any better emergency animal hospital in the valley. Stay clear of blue pearl and go to the best which are these extraordinary human beings. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your care of our animals and your genuine kindness.

Dr. Ko and his entire staff are absolutely incredible! My Rottie had her second TPLO surgery at AMSC, and Dr. Ko is hands down, the best at what he does. I highly recommend Dr. Ko to anyone considering this procedure. He has the best credentials it definitely shows, and he truly cares about his patients.
