[UPDATE: April 23, 2018: This company has apparently changed its name to Anvil Consulting: still at the same 12250 address.] I do not know if Scientific Environmental still exists, but here is a review for their grass hydroseeding service. After agreeing to the purchase, Scientific delayed for about two months before actually coming out to do the hydroseeding. The total number of back-and-forth e-mails that I have from Scientific is 47. When they arrived, they had to go back to get more mulch, to get more water and to get more seed because they did not come with enough of any of these. They also did bring have enough workers. One of their workers they pulled from out of the office also accidentally ripped out our water spigot when slinging a hose. Another worker (actually one of our neighbors, who was off-duty) came by and fixed it for us. He was the best part of the experience. Later I found out that he left the company due to some of its dealings. Those are the facts. This is an opinion: It seems that this company is used to doing government contracts, where they deal with regulations and compliance. It does not seem to be experienced with customer service or with delivering hydroseeding results. So are it's results. We purchased 6000 square feet of hydroseeding. Months later, we have about 300 square feet of grass in a few scattered patches. This review is solely for their hydroseeding service. I think they probably do not offer it any more, and for good reason. In fact, this business may be closed. (It used to store its equipment/spray rig/etc. at a garage that I passed on my way to work, but a completely different company now uses that garage.) But if it is open and you are considering hydroseeding, my advice is to choose a different option.

If you are considering getting these guys to do any work for you, you are making a mistake. I paid them $1600 to Hydro seed my yard and there's barely any grass growing. The quote they gave me had $600 in it for topsoil and they scraped some dirt off some construction site and brought a couple trailers out that had a bunch of rock in it and spread it around my yard, what a joke these guys are absolutely worthless. These guys are complete con-artist do not use them.

Had them come out to hydroseed my ~1 acre yard, they were very professional and quick with an estimate. Price wasn't too high, and they analyzed my soil for free after told them I had trouble with seeding it in the past. I had to follow the care instructions they gave me since they don't do lawn care, but about 5 weeks after they hydroseeded it had pretty good growth.
