The people who work in the office and in the field are great. Everyone is friendly, helpful and professional. The service is good too. The star is deducted for monopoly utility with no competitive price option.

Update 4/18 Wednesday- Well I'm eating my words. After emailing with the new landlord it turns out that they tried to let me know about the changes to trash this week. Apple Valley is delivering our red cans now AND they are removing all the bags still sitting out there from yesterday. I pulled up and my can was there but my bags were already gone, all 5, and I asked a man putting out trash cans and he said they had taken it and apologized about the mix-up in trash can delivery date .I'll continue to update, but as of right now I feel like the employees are awesome!
We were just informed last week that due to a change in landlords we would now be getting trash pickup through Apple Valley Waste and trash would still be Tuesday's, to place the trash cans at the curbside every Tuesday (not Monday night) and we would get a trash can delivered Friday April 13th. We had a limit of 5 bags and with two teenagers and cats we often have 5 regular bags but not sure how to go about getting a second trash can. Regardless, our first can never arrived on Friday so I was surprised to see them show up, especially at 5:15am, and they had to have noticed that none of the 24 homes had their red cans out front, yet they picked up from two homes that had one bag of trash in their own cans with lids on it. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do besides put my 5 bags in my shed and by next week it will be 9 or 10 and still not sure if I'll have even one red can by then. I gave three stars because I'm not sure if this is my new landlords fault or Apple Valley and I WILL update this review accordingly. That said, they should have told us to put it out Monday night if AVW comes as early as 5am, and I'm positive they had to have realized none of us were expecting them when no one had the cans out. Maybe they'll return with cans and then again to get all the trash they missed. After reading other reviews, I won't hold my breath. I will update if they surprise me and make it right.

I think they are great. The office staff are wonderful to work with and they people who pick up the trash and recycling are also nice to work with. I've been a customer for several years and have been very satisfied.

"Customer Service" leaves a lot to be desired. They seem to put more effort into being smart asses...than into helping with an issue. I notice that my invoice date is almost a month prior to when I actually receive it..which is about a week before the invoice is due. Ex. Invoice date 5/31,, invoice received 6/24, Due date 6/30. As for the service of the drivers/crew, I've never had an issue with them not picking up my trash or recycling. Yes, sometimes when it's raining cats and dogs..they leave the lid open, I don't blame them for that. I do wish they would pick up the entire can instead of just lifting the bag out of the container. That method can leave a lot stuck to the bottom of your can..but I see that as more of a pet peeve and not a major issue. My cans are never left in the middle of the street and they've never missed a pick up. Reading these other comments...I feel it's about who runs your route. No matter what the profession, no one does their job exactly the same. I guess I've been lucky to be on a route with good teams.

Apple Valley Waste has wonderful customer service, trash pick up, and bulk trash pick up services. We’ve had their service for years and we have never experienced any problems.
