Apricot Lane

Went into apricot lane to look for items for a vacation I’m going on. when I was told in a rude tone to put my backpack by the register. I’ve worked in retail and have never approached a customer in this behavior for which it’s unacceptable and made me feel completely uncomfortable. will not support a business that profiles customers just for wearing a backpack even if the rules are so that no one steals meanwhile this is a college town where I’ve seen several college students go in with backpacks. this situation could’ve been explained in a friendlier way with a greeting that should’ve been approached while entering.

I had a horrible experience at this store and would not recommend stopping in. The manager Ally was talking about going out the night before getting drunk. SO unprofessional and unattractive. Definitely have “mean girls” working. Standing behind the register on their phone ignoring you. Also was extremely rude to my friend of color, would brush off her questions about the clothes she was holding and lead her to sales rack. I heard a old women I assume the owner say a larger women couldn’t fit in the clothes here after the women left the store. Absolutely disgusted.

Apricot Lane is my favorite boutique to stop in whenever I am visiting CT. I have had nothing but great experiences. There is a wide range of clothing and I always leave satisfied and never empty handed. The staff is a wonderful group of bubbly, personable girls who are eager to help and find the right thing for you!

I came in the store looking for a graduation dress, and they really did have a good selection of dresses, but it was the employees that I was not a fan of. Two of the girls working there were very snotty and rude to me, and one of them just stared at me making me feel extremely uncomfortable. The store was also a mess, and was not making it easy to shop in :

A few months back the staff was super helpful in helping me pick out some beautiful pieces as I am quite indecisive!. Surprised anyone could say the experience & service was anything BUT great! One of the staff, Stephanie, was superrrr attentive & helpful in advising me on what was “in” & went well together - although, I loved it all! Very classy styles, chic and very trendy! & I loved their accessories!! Thanks Apricot Lane, you guys are awesome!!

I was looking for a hip stylish place to get dresses for my 13 year old daughters. We had a rehearsal dinner, wedding, classy brunch, and unfortunately, a wake and a funeral to get outfits for. We are not rich, by any means, nor do we live in the affluent communities in this area, but I found the prices for the newest styles to be extremely reasonable from $50 - $150. As most mothers know, it’s NOT an easy job to agree on styles with daughters who are 13 going on 30. The staff were so helpful in being able to communicate to my daughters what was appropriate and what wasn’t for their age in a way that still made my girls feel good about themselves and look up to the staff like the big sister they always wanted. These girls Megan and Stephanie worked their butts off making sure the fit for every dress my daughters tried on was right and if it wasn’t, would comb the shop for the right one, or a better style. It was like having our own personal stylists. I was extremely grateful because all the staff, especially Megan and Stephanie turned what was sure to be a nightmare shopping expedition into one that was not only a pleasant and fun experience, but a memory that my daughters and I will remember fondly for the rest of our lives. What a breath of fresh air to be treated so well! I will be sure to keep coming back for many years to come.

Been here twice to buy dresses for my daughter. One for her 8th grade graduation and one for freshman homecoming. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Great selection. Always leave with something for myself too! 1st time was a necklace. This time a sweater.

I came in and loved the selection and was about to walk up to the register to buy my items until the owner was INCREDIBLY rude to my friend! Rolling her eyes and snotty remarks when she asked a question for no reason at all. She rolled her eyes to me as if I would make fun of my friend with her!

I absolutely love this store! Everytime I’m in the area I always stop to check out what they have! Last time I purchased some great summer dresses and some accessories! I love that they have some really unique pieces of clothing!

Love this store! Cute to sexy they have it all!!!! The staff is simply amazing! I truly felt like I was Julia Roberts!! Lol! If you haven’t made a visit yet, it’s definitely worth the visit!! Keep up the great work everyone and Thank you for taking so much time on my needs!!
