My experiences with Dr. Frederick Joubert and staff has been great over the years. I have had some extensive work done this year and they have been patience and professional with me during all my procedures. They try to their best to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during your procedures. I have been coming to Arboretum Dentistry for over 25 plus years and I rate them as the #1 dentist office in Charlotte, NC. Highly recommended!
Arboretum Dentistry and their entire staff are top notch. My dentist growing up retired about 15 years ago and I have tried 4/5 different dentist without finding one I liked. That was before I found Dr. Joubert. He and his staff explain everything so well and are very patient. I have a bad gag reflex so I’m no easy patient yet they always make me feel comfortable and get the job done. I highly recommend Arboretum Dentistry.
Highly Recommend Arboretum Family Dentistry! Dr. Joubert is an extraordinary dentist. He will provide you with expert care. They also use the latest technology in dentistry. So you can be sure whatever dental need you have they can address it.
My experience with Arboretum Dentistry has been nothing but great. Since I arrived as a new patient Dr. Joubert made a complete assessment and listened carefully to my concerns. He carefully explained my treatment options and followed up after treatment. Both Dr Joubert and the remaining of his staff and very professional and welcoming.
The staff is incredibly friendly and there’s an occasional emotional support dog that stops by. I’ve been going here for about 3 years now. You have to pay the cost of everything up front and then wait to be reimbursed by your insurance company which isn’t feasible for everyone so that’s something to be aware of. I’ve had numerous Friday appointments be scheduled months in advance only to be canceled a day or two prior because the office won’t be open. This happened right before Covid and led to me missing an appointment as they rescheduled for the next week when everything shut down - including the dentist that may have saved me from needing a root canal. I’ve had 2-3 follow up appointments between semi annual appointments for fillings they weren’t able to complete in the scheduled time on multiple occasions which causes me to miss work. Again, not something everyone can afford to do. Pros: Friendly staff and overall good care Cons: Time and financial commitment
Dr. Joubert and his team go out of their way to make sure your experience in the office is a great one. Most of us dread having to goto the dentist and they are tuned into that and take great steps to ensure the experience is a good one: I also have to admit: until now, I had never had a dentist proactively follow up with me after hours to ensure I was doing ok after a significant, non routine appointment…above and beyond the call of duty… thank you Dr. Joubert and all the team!
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We used Dr Joubert for many years, even followed him when he moved into a solo practice with long wait times and lots of figuring things out. Unfortunately, the new office staff he has hired has really crashed the standards this practice used to have. The Office Receptionist Kayla frequently provides mis-information and is quite rude. She should definitely have more training as we have had several instances with her. I requested to have the dentist contact me but since we have not heard anything from him in months I am sure this did not happen. And to add to this, they no longer accept insurance and are a cash only, pay in advance office. They tell you they will file your insurance on your behalf and the reimbursement will come directly to you. The reason they give is that "it's better for the patient" but this makes no sense whatsoever and such a trickery response. It would have been much more digestible for them to be honest and up front about the change to a cash only office which only benefits the practice. We also noticed an increasing amount of procedures being recommended that now our current dentist says were not really necessary. At this point we would have to say we WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this dentist office and will not return to this practice. He should definitely look into reworking the running of his practice, starting with the front desk. Update: Reply from office following Google post blaming insurance company, again totally missing the point of the office staff's poor customer service and misinformation. It's the office staff driving this practice into the ground, not the dentist himself. Again poor response to patients. My husband and I have still never been contacted to date following requests, interesting that they would respond to a Google review.
I have been at this practice since Dr Joubert got there, I have had an amazing experience here! As much dental work as I have been through he has made it all a positive experience! The entire staff has been extremely compassionate about helping me keep my anxiety as low as possible!
I was in the middle of a series of appts for my dental issues when I lost confidence in the dentist I was seeing. The work still needed done and I felt stuck. I didn't trust the care I was receiving, but I was very nervous about changing providers in the midst of it. Then I found Arboretum Family Dentistry and it has been hands down THE BEST dental experience I have ever had - even and especially! in light of the extensive work I need done. My experience has been terrific -- from making an appointment to the atmosphere in the office great infection prevention precautions! to an AMAZING dental hygienist thank you, Olena! to Dr. Joubert and his evidence-based work and interventions and passion for the art of dentistry...oh, and Mia, the office pup. I am so thankful I found Arboretum Family Dentistry. Recommend without reservation.
