Arizona Sun Home Inspection conducts a non-invasive assessment of the condition of a house, commonly in relation to the selling of a particular house.
Hello my name is Rodney Harrison, licensed home inspector in the great state of Arizona #58074. I am the President and co-owner of Arizona Sun Home Inspection. I have dedicated the last 24 years of my life to the construction industry. The smell of a fresh cut 2x4 always reminds me of the first time I set foot on a construction site. When I was ten years old my grandparents took me to their new home during the framing stage and this big old framer with a rugged and weathered but friendly face handed me a hammer and a hand full of nails, kicked over a cutoff chunk of beam, and said “Have at it young man.” To this day I still believe my love for a construction site started that day.
With a construction company always in sight shortly after graduating from high school I got a job as a residential framer to learn the ins and outs of rough framing. Nine months later I had collected the tools and equipment needed to start my own construction company.
14 years later I was offered a job to lead the install department of a small but reputable HVAC company. I spent nearly five years working for a businessman who appreciated my craftsmanship and keen attention to detail. I participated in many hours of professional continuing education classes and as a result developed valuable sheet metal skills.
Eventually I got an opportunity to combine my trade skills and work for a commercial sheet metal company. I was involved in the completion of many large construction projects, such as hospitals, military installations, fire stations and one of my favorites, a Cabela’s sporting goods store.
Seeking more knowledge and a desire to implement it I began working on a construction management degree and a license to inspect homes in the state of Arizona. With this knowledge and most importantly my experience, is why you should choose or refer me for your next home inspection.
Hello my name is Shamra Harrison Vice President, office manager and co-owner of the company. I was Raised in Stanwood WA, my first job, when I was 13, was working in the spinach fields every summer to earn money for my school clothes. My report card all through grade school noted that I was a “social butterfly”; a cheerleader in high school, I’ve always really enjoyed interacting with people and learn something new from every person I meet.
After graduating I joined the United States Air Force and learned many skills; my day to day operations were administrative and I put those skills to work in our office. Currently I am working on my degree in Business Management
We are very blessed with two beautiful and bright teen girls. During the pregnancy with my oldest daughter I was told that she had Down Syndrome. Although at the time this seemed scary, I quickly learned that was only because I was uneducated about the disability. She is the light of my life and brings so much joy to everyone she is around.
We are very involved with the special needs community in Chandler and the Arizona Special Olympics and as part of that we are donating a portion of every inspection to one of the local organizations called RAD (Recreation and Athletics for the Disabled).
RAD is a Chandler Arizona based non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by parents of the disabled and other concerned citizens. RAD is dedicated to assisting any person who is disabled and wants to participate in recreation or athletic activities.
