My experience at this place, was One that i’d never go back there again! Three woody woodpeckers workers in the yard ,one operating a forklift, the other one goofing off and the third one came in acting like the tough. They started screaming at me because I pulled over Live parking Wait for the customer pulling out of his spot. So get this, That was just outside— went in to get the paperwork for my bug screen, mistakenly entered the contractors office. It felt like the year 1911
As a truck driver, this place is good. You'll come in and face in the 2 doors garage. Since it's pretty tiny and you must back up to get out, you should be unloaded pretty fast. There's place for only 2 big trucks trailers. You can't sleep here and they open at 7am. Staff is friendly enough. It took me 45min to unstrap and unload. Good place overall
This week, I needed to pick up some cedar boards for the house. I can’t even describe how helpful, patient, and just all-around welcoming everyone at this organization was to a guy who clearly did not know what he was doing. Most especially helpful: Scott in the lumberyard. He was a really terrific guy who went the extra mile with a smile. I’d give more stars if they were available. Thank you so much.
They are a real professional operation that still offers great service to the public. Their boards are straight, they never try and sell lumber with defects. The counter staff is really knowledgeable, but it’s the guys in the yard who make it work for me. When I tell them what I am doing they will go through every piece of lumber with me to make sure it will work on my project. And when by accident I buy too much I am able to return it for a full refund. The best.
My first time visiting this store and I will definitely come back many more times, I really don't do many reviews but when I get great service anywhere I can't help but express it. I was very well taken care of by Scott, he helped me with everything I needed, usually people are not so patient but Scott has a great disposition and is always willing to help.
No interest in dealing with DIYers. I wouldn't be surprised if the the kid working the register was the owner's son on punishment duty. It's too bad because they have a great location, good supplies and an eager community surrounding them.
Called on July 3rd morning asking if they are open, they said they do. So rented a truck to return the stuff. Showed up at 10:30, no one is there, called again, no one answered. Wasted the rental
Quality lumber at market prices. I received some materials for a small home project. All of the lumber was of good quality and straightness and these were 16ft lengths too. The service guys at the ordering department were helpful with pulling everything together, especially when I needed to modify an order last minute. Also, delivery is free if your total order is above $200 if memory serves correctly from the quoting process, which is easily achieved for most projects. Having the free delivery at this price point makes the procurement of the materials you need vastly easier, and especially when the big orange home improvement store charges up to $100 for delivery. Overall, I have no reason to get lumber for any future projects anywhere else but here.
Called this place an order for tow 12x30 LVLs. After spending about 20 mins on the phone, I was told they would not deliver just the 2 LVLs to Somerville. Person on the phone said "We would loose money selling and delivering this to you" What kind of business tells it's customers that they are a waste of money?
Yesterday Mike who works in the outside red building could not have been more helpful. Recommend highly.
